I am not the biggest fan, but I did go to the race yesterday.  PIR has great hillside seating and it's only $35 per adult and kids under 12 are free.  We went with some friends who were visiting from out of town who have 2 kids the same age as my two oldest kids.  The kids had fun goofing around on the hill and listening to the amazing sound of a 780HP engine running at 9000 RPM.  Overall, we had fun, but there were a few letdowns...

There really should be campaign limits.  This past election seemed like a lifetime.  Thanks to everyone who went out and exercised their civic duty.  It was refreshing to see the long lines at the polls and see people actually care about the elections.

This month is insane.  Luckily, my Xbox 360 is RRoD'd so I can focus on my PS3 and PC games for a while.  I was going to buy a second and I still am, but I am using this opportunity to break away from the 360 for a while.  Including the new Xbox 360, I can easily see myself spending $500 or more on games this month.  Is that sad?

If you saw the previous post, you know I have a dead Xbox 360.  It's totally dead now, it doesn't even pretend to try and boot up.  I get the RRoD every time I try and turn it on now.

I tried to register my console online and I must have typed in the serial number 5 times to make sure I wasn't fat-fingering anything.  Every time, I received an invalid serial number error.  I don't know why it would tell me that.  I am well within the warranty period.  In fact the manfacture date on the Xbox is printed as 2006-05-02.  I bought it on Black Friday in '06.

Not my picture, just one I found on the web.  It's still intermittent at this point, sometimes it happens right when I turn on the Xbox, other times it'll go for an hour or so.  This timing sucks, a week before Gears of War 2 comes out.  I am going to send it out and go buy a core system.  I have been meaning to buy a second system anyway.
