So Viacom's CFO Tom Dooley said in their recent earnings call that Rock Band 2 has sold 2 million units world wide. Which was below expectations, but still pretty good sales figures if you ask me. But that wasn't the real news.

The premise of the site is that it's bullshit that you can get an easy 1000 achievement points in a game like Avatar, yet getting the same score in a game like Gears or Halo is so much harder to do. So your gamerscore really doesn't represent your actual achievements in gaming. So what they do is give achievements new values, based on how rare that achievement is (# of players with that achievement vs. total players of the game). Seems like a cool idea to me.

Well Street Fighter IV is set to hit stores in about a week.  I have been trying to figure out if I should get excited or not.

Street Fighter II came out just as I was becoming old enough to hit arcades (Street Fighter 1 was a bit before my time).  I had actually prefered Mortal Kombat to the Street Fighter series, but I spent a ton of time playing both.  Countless hours were spent going to the local mall and pumping quarter after quarter into those games.

I consider myself a semi-hardcore gamer.  I own both a 360 and a PS3 (and for a while, the Wii, which collected dust until I sold it).  I don't really prefer one platform over the other, although my game purchasing history says otherwise.  I currently own 31 games for the 360 and zero for the PS3.  Yep, zero.  Some of that is due to XBox Live - I have more friends on that service than on the PSN.  Some of that is due to achievements - I'd rather buy a multiplatform game for the 360 just to boost my gamer score (lame, I know).  But there is one big issue that keeps me from buying games on th
