Well tonight the wife and I finally get to go on a date night. I can't even remember the last time we had the opportunity for one so its a big deal.

Kids are going to the grandparents house to spend the night. So we will not only have the entire evening but also most of tomorrow as well. Maybe we'll squeeze in a little X-mas shopping while the rugrats are away.

We have dinner reservations at a swanky new restaraunt downtown. Can't wait. Got a gift card for this place and we've been dying to try it out.

What is it about Alicia Keys that makes me want to groove?  Dang, that girl can sing.  Yeah, I'm a fan....I'm not ashamed of it.  Really like her latest disc.

My wife also just got Corinne Bailey Rae's album which is also pretty good.  I can only listen to it once through before I need something more hardcore however. 

Also recently picked up the new Thousand Foot Krutch and KT Tunstall discs.  KFT rocks, haven't listened to KT yet. 

Been digging on AFI, Arcade Fire and Muse a lot lately too.  Thanks to one of my buds back in Texas for intro-ing me to them.

Well I don't know about you, but our household is now in full holiday swing.  My wife put up all the Christmas decorations a couple days before Thanksgiving.  Our house is now populated by dozens of snowmen and other holiday knick knacks.  As usual, we "don't have enough" and she is planning a trip to get more.

Thanksgiving was great.  Awesome to get time with family, even if it was only a little while for some.  Great food and great company....can't beat it.  We even managed to get in a few games of GH3 with the family.

Well today is the big day.  The day BEFORE Thanksgiving.  This is litterally hell day for me.  My wife always goes all out for Thanksgiving and makes WAY more stuff than anyone can possibly eat.  Its her favorite holiday and she loves to cook and bake so its the one day she can just go crazy.  The planning and stressing and re-planning that leads up to this day is outrageous enough, but today is when it all goes down.  This year is no exception and the menu being planned is amazing.  The desserts alone would make your head explode and come back for seconds.
