THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST

For some reason this year, I don't know if it's age or what, I've been drifting back in the past. I am the youngest of 9 children. No, Mom and dad didn't have cable. They both loved the season but both seemed to forget the madness involved with that many people in the house. Yelling kids, fights, running through the house, stealing cookies. And that was just what I done, remember there were 8 more. As each one left home things simmered down somewhat. It was cool not having to share my bed or steal a cookie.

METEOS WARS

Match-three falling block games are a dime a dozen, but Meteos managed to make its mark on the Nintendo DS handheld back in 2005. The puzzle game showed both surprising depth and a focused understanding of what a touch screen should be all about. Now, three years later, the game has found its way to the Xbox Live Arcade. Though this is one of Q Entertainment's best games to make its way to the download service, the fact that it was built for a touch screen can be felt from the moment you pick up a controller.

TIS THE SEASON

As I've mention before I have a friend that works at Gamestop. When he's there I'll run in for a quick visit since my favorite bookstore and coffee shop is only a couple of doors down. this time it was in the afternoon so the  Mom's were out in force, and I couldn't help but notice some of the quesions he was having to field.

THE PRINCE ARRIVES

Forget about any perceived similarities between Prince of Persia and Ico -- they end at some base visual and thematic qualities and don't extend far into the realm of gameplay.
