Continuing on my recent foray into animated or live acted fan fiction and still in the Star Trek side of things, I found this incredible effort.

The plot is simple, a little girl gets stranded in a hulk after a pirate attack. She... survives. Then, as a grown a woman, that traumatizing event has a way of catching up with her. But not as we know it...

After yesterday noting 'live-actor' fan efforts, today I look at an animated effort that is several years old now. The animator is using stone-age versions of now very popular graphics and animation packages like Blender and Poser.

Things I learned from fan-movies:

The actors are either 1) middleaged and overweight or 2) scrawny teenage nerds. I know that modern media conditioning skewers expectation. You know that in any well-funded production, the actors are generally pretty and handsome. People who take care of their bodies because those bodies are an undeniable part of their career.

This period there are two PS4 games: Injustice Gods amongst Us and Secret Ponchos. Injustice is the beat 'em up with american superheroes. I downloaded it but yet have to play it. Supposedly, it has a very good battle-system. I don't know anything about Secret Ponchos, but I understand it's along the vein of Attack Nuns. I decided to ignore that title.

Not so long ago, 2o2p joined my twitter followlist. I was quite surprised at that, because my twitter-account has cobwebs allover it, squeeks from disuse and is on the verge of collapsing due to neglect. I think that it is well over a year ago that I was here; having left because I felt that as a community, 2o2p had ran it's course at the time. People were beating on eachother, while other people who were holding a spot of importance in my perception where abusing their positions by throwing oil on the fire and then washing their hands off of it out of fear of losing their position.

At first, the pricepoint on Defiance held me back and the erupting vulcano of bad player-experiences sealed the deal. I tried the free weekend and I didn't like it much. I sure didn't like it enough to follow it up with a full-price buy.

So, I snatched it up for a tenner at the Steam Sale and what do you know... I like the game immensely and now I'm beating myself up for not getting in on groundfloor...

Contradictionz, I has them.

And just now I bought the best game coded ever. Saints Row 2. Yes, IT IS THE BEST GAME CODED EVER. alright? Don't fight me over this, lol.

Steam Summer Sale has started! Their servers can't keep up, lol! My eye has fallen on Defiance for a tenner, a pricepoint at which I can part with cash for this title.

The community-vote is a bit skewered, as one of the choices is Dishonored for FREE, the other choice is Borderlands 2 for a song and  a co-op zombieshooter. Since Dishonored is free, it has about 100% to be chosen as the community-vote sale... Kinda rough for people who were waiting on the Summer Sale to get Borderlands for laughs.
