Julia and I made a trip to North Augusta (about 20 or so miles from us in Aiken) today to hit up the Play N Trade that opened up a few weeks ago. Sadly they were closed for New Years Day. But the owner, staying in to take care of some last minute year-end paperwork, was kind enough to let us in and take a look around. He also offered to give us a good deal since its New Years and we drove a bit to get to his store. Would never happen at GameStop.

I started collecting the Gears figures when NECA first started releasing them. But sadly my area only got a couple here and there....usually a lot of the same 2 figures. And ordering them online can get pricey. So needless to say I'm far behind on the collecting list and don't think I'll ever catch up.

Well....that whole ordeal with my Live subscription I posted a few blogs ago finally came back to haunt me. I thought that if I put in a 12-month prepaid card I got from amazon, it'd automatically make that the default subscription. Oh not when old Microsoft smells the chance to charge a credit card it doesn't.

So after calling Microsoft and being on the phone with a rep for almost an hour......its getting sorted out.

It was a long 3-step process.

Step 1.) Put in a new credit card since the old one is dead.....and let them charge me $49.99.

Well...Im sick. Its not the flu thankfully...but I've got a good dose of something nasty. Probably just a real bad head cold. I dunno. So...this weekend instead of getting to enjoy my time  off, I get to stay in bed loaded up with drugs and drinking gallons of water & ginger ale.

Whats up guys & gals. I have returned from my week-long bout of absolute laziness and relaxation at the beach. It was great while it lasted and provided a much needed break from the hum-drum normality that had almost driven me crazy.

It was amazing being able to wake up, step out onto the deck of the house, and watch the tide come in. Every day the weather was clear I went out and just sat on the beach, taking in all the awesomeness and sea air. And on the rainy days.....I just opened the windows and stared out at the ocean.
