Field Trip!

So I have seen the new fangled consoles at Best Buy. Let’s start with the PS3, I wasn’t so much a fan of the XMB, but the games seem fine. I really can’t see difference in how they look compared to a 360. In the end, Sony will do well, and the people who get it will be happy with it. I don’t see a reason to jump ship from the 360 though. If I were buying today, XBOX LIVE would still make me get the 360 over the PS3. I am glad I didn’t wait.

Going to Best Buy

This is like a field trip for me. I avoid those consumer electronics shops most of the time, but today I have to go pick up a few gifts. I hope to see some demo units, PS3, Wii, whatever. I haven't put either into my grubby little hands yet, and love the 360, but the technophile in me wants some exposure. And not the kind of exposure that gets Baine arrested. While I am there, I may just pick myself up a little something.

It’s been quiet, too quiet.

I think that my 2o2p live friends have been too busy to play lately. I wonder what’s up. They do play; I see that they are all almost online at least once a day. But it seems they don’t stay online nearly as long as they did weeks ago.

Work sucks

I typically don’t blog about work. My job is not exciting to most people. Some days I love it, today I don’t. My job title is different things in different places, but what I do is automate tasks involved in setting up and maintaining PCs. What do I mean by that? Best way to explain it is by example. What has been taking most of my time has been the set up of new kiosk style machines has handle our new electronic record. If you were to take the CD’s for each install (think Windows XP, and the 25 installs of software) it would take you 8-9 hours.

Charts and graphs.

OK, I am ruthlessly stealing the graphics below. Why? I liked the pretty colors. So I stole the pictures, but the words here are mine. You know why? I was too lazy to read the article.
