Sunburns

Last week I noticed my brakes were squeaking a bit so I decided to change the pads over the weekend.  We had a long trip scheduled for Saturday, so I wanted to get it done before we left.  Alas, my daughters both had soccer games Saturday morning.  I went to the games and cheered them on, as shown in a prior post.  When I got home, I proceeded to swap out brake pads and had them finished before my wife could go to the store and back.

At Least I Still Have A Job

It's been one of those weeks and it's only Tuesday.  My daughter was throwing up all yesterday so I went home early.  I got behind at work and am trying to play catch-up today.  As I am waiting on a program to finish running, I get an email from our corporate HQ.  Usually these are fluff and of no great consequence.  Oh, how I wish this one was one of them.

First Soccer Games

My kiddos had their first soccer games they both had a great time. It's amazing to see their personalities come out on the field. My older one is more cautious and analytical, while the younger one is pure aggression. It was both of their first experience with team sports, and they both can't wait for their next games. Here's some photos of them in action.

OK Rep Attempts To Block Noted Evolutionist Speaker From His Appearance

Rep. Ted Thomsen of Ada has filed a resolution to try to prevent Richard Dawkins, a British evolutionary bioligist, from speaking at the University of Oklahoma.  Whether you believe in evolution or not, I disagree with any attempts to stifle free speech.  This truly is a backwards state.

Custody Battle - The Kids Are Always The Victims

I just thought I needed to get this out there, as this experience truly altered my worldview.  It is a very painful thing to recollect, but I feel that I needed to share this.  Please don't think that I am trying to pretend to be a saint, as I've screwed up as a parent plenty of times.  I know there's always two sides to any story, but I do feel I am a good father and my son and my current family were drug through hell for 2 years due to a vindictive ex wife.
