So, I posted yesterday, in regards to the wonderful weekend we had/ Flowers For Megan was absoutely wonderful. Yesterday also was a a day for a follow up appointment with Dr.Blumenthal. I did not want to post this yesterday, as it may have dampened the spirit that was so awesome to share with others. Anyhow, here's how it went.

So, I posted yesterday, in regards to the wonderful weekend we had/ Flowers For Megan was absoutely wonderful. Yesterday also was a a day for a follow up appointment with Dr.Blumenthal. This past Saturday we had Flowers For Megan Day. There were a TON of people here. The cul-de-sac was FULL of cars and it was absolutely overwhelming, looking at everyone that came out. I have some pictures that I will be posting in just a little bit that many people took and they are amazing! My mom called Saturday evening to check on Megan and said that as they were driving away Saturday, she almost started crying thinking of all the people that came out to help and support Megan.

This past Saturday we had Flowers For Megan Day. There were a TON of people here. The cul-de-sac was FULL of cars and it was absolutely overwhelming, looking at everyone that came out. I have some pictures that I will be posting in just a little bit that many people took and they are amazing! My mom called Saturday evening to check on Megan and said that as they were driving away Saturday, she almost started crying thinking of all the people that came out to help and support Megan.

Following up on my post from this morning, there have been a few of you interested in contributing to the Flowers For Megan day we are having this weekend. If you would like to send flowers, shoot me a PM on the site and I will give you our address. Once all the flowers are planted, we will be taking a ton of pictures and I will post them early next week. Here are the basic criteria for the flowers:

Flowers that can handle being picked a number of times (Megan's pastime is picking the flowers)

Flowers that can handle the Georgia heat. We will water them, I promise. :)

So, I'm sitting here wondering what I'm going to type and I realize I have yet to let everyone know about the day we are having this weekend, to plant flower for Megan. She LOVES flowers. As Stacy mentioned in her blog, no matter what is going on in her world, no matter how bad she is feeling, she will always cheer up when she sees what limited flowers we had in our little "garden" area in front of our house. So, we made plans to dig up all of the old bushes and flowers and give it an overhaul. Hence, Flower For Megan.
