I'm a dancer.  Well, I was.  I started out when I was 3 years old taking dancing lessons, which continued until I was about 13.  I have done just about every kind of dance you could ever think of, including all those funky things we did as teenagers.  I luv to dance.  I had a partner a loooooong time ago, and we taught "ballroom" dancing together.  You know the ones...fox trot, cha cha, mambo, swing.  I absolutely luved it!  Then, we would all go out after class and dance the real stuff.  Wow, I rocked back in those days.  But, I had to give all that up when I met hubby.  The best he can do

It seems that Hannah isn't going to be that bad.  I am up early this morning cuz it's hard to sleep when the rain is pounding overhead.  The wind seems to be dying down a bit.  That's a good thing.  But, flood warnings are in effect for just about everywhere.  I live on a hill, so I have never seen any flooding.  But, there is water over the roads in places and is supposed to get worse with some flash floods.  In the eastern part of NC there is power loss and such, but they are already getting that back online, so to speak.  I have the TV going so I can track progress.  It's still 3 more ho

Eek!  Preparing for the hurricane...  Hopefully, I am too far inland to get much but rain and some wind, but they are doing that 24 hour news thing with a blow by blow description of what's going on, where it is, and when it will hit.  Hannah.  It's been years since one actually hit us, and that was Fran.  Wow, what a mess!   I worked nights at the time, and got to watch and hear the whole thing from the 9th floor of the hospital.  Ever see rain fall sideways?  lol, actually, not funny.  I was in charge, so I got to take all the calls from people that were trying to get in to work in the mo
