The last round

My father had another doctor's appointment today. This time was to just get a general overview and schedule the next round of chemo. Turns out the doctor wanted my father to be admitted to the hospital today (immediately) to start the chemo right away. Dad wasn't having any part of that, so he's getting a part of the treatment right now and is being admitted for chemo tomorrow instead. This way works out better because my sister and one of her kids is in town visiting. The doctor agreed family is more important than 24 hours.

Free your avatar

So, I found this neat little feature on the Xbox.com website.... Free Your Avatar

Simply enough, it's just art you can make with your (or other people's) avatar. Here are a couple that I whipped up for fun on Friday.

The hospital

I have my location listed as Texas but I just recently moved here from Northern Virginia. My parents came down here about 3 years ago, and I did not follow them because I had a job, girlfriend and friends that I wanted to keep.

This past Thanksgiving, while visiting my parents, my father was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I made a decision to pack up everything and move down here to help out my mom and dad. My friends who still lived in VA were dwindling, I no longer had a gf and I luckily got to bring my job with me.

Meeting 2o2p in Halo 3

Last night I got the chance to meet and play with a bunch of people from 2o2p. I had a blast, even when I was getting it handed to me at the end of the night. After about three games we broke into two rooms and kept the action going. Here are some screens of the action...

My first console

I was ten years old. I had already been a gamer for years. It was my birthday, but instead of receiving a game console my father was selling ours. Seventy-five cents for an Atari was a pretty good deal, even for 1991. Pacman, tank pong, and several other classics were shoved into a brown box along with a few controllers for the lowest bidder. I will never forget the guy who bought it from our family yard sale. He was in his mid to late twenties with brown hair and a girl friend in tow. They were both smiling. Maybe it was their first console too.
