Alfa sent. I may tinker with gearing and resend later.
Received. Thanks!
I ran 20 or so laps last night with the last 5 or so in the low 2:13's. 2:12.7 best lap. Stability on direction change was something my build didn't have. It really made a difference for me once on a good line, I was able to maintain it better. I found myself making inconsistant gear changes. More wheel time on my part and purhaps some gear tinkering should improve that.

With that car don't shift into 2nd. I only shift into 3rd at Vale, Abbey, and Brooklands.
The rest of the track is 4th and 5th. I'm still working on a gear setup for it, and I'll send it over when I'm done.
I ran a 2:08.5 with it right before I sent it over, so even with those gears it's still quite quick.

It is very quick for sure. If anything my impression was the gears were taller than I expected. My inconsistancies are very much a lack of skill on my part than any slight tinkering in gearing.
When I get the line right, entering those corners are the only spots where I go down to 3rd.
Out of habit, I tend to down shift twice into Stowe (brain keeps lying to me and says 6th after long straight when I'm in 5th).
I struggle with carrying speed through Maggots and end up in 3rd entering Becketts, which is my driving not gearing. When I got it right, I went through in 4th.
Go figure. Parcells didn't look at the sign up sheet and arbitrarily decided to go with a club car only to find out 3 of the 4 are Gizzie, Tourni and Paps...three people that haven't been in my kitchen and the same three likely to take my podium finish. Oh well, good thing Parcells don't give a shit and I'll just have to out-strategize the bastards. You know damn well I'm not above well just about anything and that includes begging. This could get embarassing for someone.
99% positive I'm going with an Atlantic tuned Civic Tourni...unless of course Kraigger doesn't send me the car, what have you been saying things to Kraigger about Parcells? That seems rude.

You'll get me mate. I'm pretty sure I'll be taken out somewhere in the first lap :-P

Signed up for INTER but showing as not valid-Tourni?. May still switch to SUPER to fatten out the field - hmmm. Still many to declare so I hope some are going for Super and I can stay in INTER.
Tourni I have sent you a car with a tune to look at. It's that golf I was wrestling with. Jacked it up and stiffened the springs to stop the damage, I think. Main thing was that larger rims seemed to have stopped it wallowing like a pig in a mud bath :)
It's Seems reasonably quick. Wondered if you'd mind having a look at it. Don't need to tune it! But advice appreciated.
Well what an awesome 35 laps, it was really interesting to watch how it all unfolded with strategies. GREAT STUFF! :D
It seems that my race pace for club is 2.09.700 - 2.10.400, the car needs a touch more work though. Shame we lost some people early on and it looks like i'm going to have agood battle with wilfed :D

I need to work on consistency, tire wear and my Internet connection, I got disconnected about halfway through. I had great fun though :).
2Stop strategy is definitely the way to go. I tried one 7 lost to Kraiger & Supernovadave. Had I stopped, I would have beaten both fairly easily. Once you hit about 80% tire wear, the lap times fall off a cliff.
i needed 2 pitstops with the second one only five laps from the end of the race.
after the race i made some more adjustments and was able to get one more lap before needing to pit and reduced my average lap of 2.05.5 to 2.04.5 with the same consistency.
all in all lots of fun - now for some strategy to add to the mix.
I think we will all suffer when the tyre goes off whilst racing, I over cooked turn 1 a couple of times towards the end of the tyre life. Amost resulted in me in the wall :D
I saved the replay and i'll see what i can do about getting some footage :D

Overall very balanced and quick.

Hi Parcells
You have a car with tune and paint on it ready for your testing! If there is any changes you want let me know!
It's starting already....

the sheet seems okay Poidsly, your entry was valid :)
Parcells - we are running slightly gimped cars to keep the racing close (hovering around 2.10 mark) :D

Yeah, i plan to crack on with the tunes tomorrow :D I'll set it up for you as you can always take the settings off or adjust them to your needs :)
Still looking for 5 more players, doesn't matter what skill level they are - new to the game is totally fine! :D
Just signed up with the Z4, I'll take the one from the garage for now until Tourni find the time to send me the tune
Hello,
@Tourni: You are looking for 6 racers. I edited the drivers list, because real life decided finally, that I will not take part in this GREAT EVENT!
@all: Please make vid's from all races in all classes for watching it later!!!!!!!! There will be great battles.
JDANKERT
A matter of taste. It's a marmite car.
The late "plus" spec turbo is a deeply pretty car and the the interior is just fabulous on a budget car. The simple dash is to die for.
Managed to get it in to high 2:06's in inter, but not consistently. Bit of a push. 2:08 at club :O
IRL I'd buy one like a shot if it were not for the incredibly expensive maintenance. We are talking TVR costs. :)
Fixed.
Still needs some work to get out the sloppy, and gearing, so it would only get better. Too fast for me to run it.
Another Club racer in the 2:08's...
2000 Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo
It may not be pretty, but it's quick.
Official practice starts tonight!
This is OPEN practice, so open to the public lobbies - I may need a 2nd room host, but we'll see on the night. Full race duration tonight :)
Hi Tourni
I can host one lobby if you need it.
See you tonight as this should be a lot of fun!!!!!!
looks like a storm will be starting at 4:00 pm est.
will be there.
You were right tourni, the mustang was pretty weak compared to the other cars I tried for the super class. So I'll be going with my SLK55 instead.

How many pit stops did most people do?

That was fun guys. Hopefully I didn't impede anyone's with my grandpa like driving
I'll hit Cotter up on getting some laps this week .... and pick up some ground before next sunday.....
On the whole satisfied. Need more consistency though as the tyres drop off.
I think we will all suffer when the tyre goes off whilst racing, I over cooked turn 1 a couple of times towards the end of the tyre life. Amost resulted in me in the wall :D

So what are the super drivers clocking in? I'm looking at about 2:05.5s consistent with my current, not finished, tune..
I think there were 2:04's, and I know some of the Aliens will go considerably faster, but pretty sure 2:05's will put you in the mix.
Kraigger or Cotter will fill you in on that more accurately.
