If only you could customize and add your own music to the Forza Soundtrack.
There is also a video I want to put up but it's not exactly kid friendly. Very explicit. Pussy by Rammstein but the unedited version. I don't know the forum rules as of yet to these kinds of things. I haven't seen anything with nudity on this forum yet. I've seen bikinis and almost nude girls but nothing further.
Anyways. The reason I'm creating this thread is to see what kind of music you guys are into and would be interested in expanding my horizons to other maybe not so known bands to myself. I prefer 80s hair band and current heavy metal and like to hear good music from around the world.
Post up song names, videos, what ever to music that you guys like. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
Do you like Steel Panther?
I listen to everything. Especially now I'm in a "Music Appreciation" class. Jazz blues from the 40's and everything in between and since. Subtract disco, subtract post 2005 rap, and a bunch of post 2000 pop.
I saw Hurt, Redlight King, Saving Abel, and Pop Evil in concert this past summer. Haven't been to a concert since. Check out both Hurt and Redlight King. I like em' maybe you will too.
For some reason the last few days I've been listening to 90's very early 2000's rap. LOL.
Steel Panther Rules....
No Offense, But I'm sick of cookie monster metal vocalists.
If you're not familiar with Sevendust, give them a listen.
Here's one of my more recent discoveries, a band called Black Tide....
Here's another band I highly recommend called Taking Dawn...
Mark Tremonti's new solo project is also wicked-bad-ass...
Also check out Firewind. It will blow your mind.
Here are two songs that I love to hear on the radio in the morning headed to work. I usually make it there in record time!

I am so getting old. Correction, I am old. The above music just gives me a headache. I guess I just can't appreciate it. But I never was really into heavy metal (if that is the right genre) anyway. But I did enjoy the soundtrack to my old GT2 racing game. One of my favorites.

Don't know how you guys get the direct video to show, but heres a link.... Old sound, but still ok work-out music or drink beer to.
Enjoy pretty much all music. Rock and Metal more than the others.
If I say the bass radio station was exceptional on Forza Horizon you will understand my like in music :-)
Thought it was just me!
I like most music but my main passion is electronic music, especially house. Spent 17 years on and off trying to be a DJ playing mainly house & techno.
Acts/DJs I really like include: James Zabiela, Carl Cox, Chemical Brothers, Funkagenda, Hot Chip, Hercules and the Love Affair, Deep Dish (before they split up) and a whole list of others most people have never heard of.....
I also really got into recent albums by Katy B, NERO, Hot Chip, Drake and The XX. The last two are'nt house music but both are really good. I would recommend you all check out these and some of the other stuff I've listed, even if just out of passing interest. Especially as I've just spent half an hour listening to guitar based rock you lot have posted up!!
And if you want to see live DJ'ing turned into an art form (of sorts) then check out videos of James Zabiela on youtube, like this one:

@ Cotter I listen to only a few bands that you refer to as Cookie Monster. Though I do like Cradle of Filth and a few select others. But mostly an 80's rock-some current rock fan. Metallica, Van Halen, Cinderella, Ratt, Queensryche, Guns N Roses, Def Lepard, on and on and on.
Joe Satriani (with Hair)

@ Church No worries. I recently heard some Skrillex and the such. I used to love that type of music. I don't discriminate.

I Think we can all apreciate this one:

I'm very happy you guys are doing this. I love to see what other people are into. No matter the artist or genre. Even Poidsly introduced me to music I never heard of and I like it. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to everything as of yet. I'm working on it though. Oh and JDAN, Van Halen Rocks! Good choice!
Speaking of Van Halen, If you've not heard their new LP "A different Kind Of Truth" is fucking amazing. Go buy it yesterday.
Being computer illiterate as I am...even if I could find a video or audio file to post I wouldn't be able kmow how to post it.
I listen to jazz most of the time, but have many musical tastes. Comes from having a piano teacher/mother. So I had a wide range of music to listen to growing up.
Currently on my playlist: Rodrigo y Gabriela, Joss Stone, Tony Bennett Duets, Herbie Hancock, Allison Kraus, Everlast, Lenny Kravitz, Carlos Santana, Adele, Three Days Grace.
Recently rediscovered Marvin Gaye's Anthology and Timbuk 3.
I have over 2000 vinyl records in my collection and have only replaced less than 5% in digital format. I aquired a turntable recently that is supposed to allow me to convert my vinyl to mp3. Unfortunately it didn't come to me w/software and I need to get a hard drive to put it all on. One day I'll have some extra cash and time to figure it all out. : )
I'm all over everywhere. everything from late 60's to current, rock, latin, my wife's got me listening to some pop, kids got me into newer rock type stuff. Also like old and new country/western, and being in NE Tenn some bluegrass occasionally.
I do tend to really like the old guitarists though. Clapton, Santana. Keith Urban and Brad Paisley can really warm up a guitar too it seems.
Side note. When I'm really wound and wanna calm down I throw in some old Joan Jett (?).
Oh, and this may get me some boo's, I'm also a Beatles fan, more so now than ever.
Alice Cooper, The Who, Aerosmith, Stones, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Bad Company, Evanesence, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, The Wreckers, J.Geils Band, Joplin, Styx, Cheap Trick, Led Zeppelin, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, B-52's, Big n Rich, Fleetwood Mac, INXS, LMFAO, Floyd, etc...
Who would boo you over the Beatles? I will back you on that. Beatles will always be good music. You've got a very wide spectrum of music there old school. Not a bad thing. That's what I'm trying to do in a way with this thread. Back in my younger days I used to listen to 90s rap music too. But I hear it now adays and it's just garbage. I can't listen to that stuff any more. So I stick with what I know. Thus this thread.
Meh. To each thier own. I respect their talent...but can't stand their music...at all.
But like OS, my music tastes are quite diverse.
This is going to be the best release of 2013, I guarantee. It's a new supergroup consisting of guitarist Eric Gales (this guy is Jimi Hendrix reincarnated in case you've not heard of him), Doug Pinnick from King's X (another of my favorite bands), & Thomas Pridgen drummer from Mars Volta.....
Um quick question. A bit off topic of my off topic. I accidentally flagged OldSchool's post as offensive. The touchpad on my laptop is very sensitive. Is there a way to remove that flag? I did not find his post offensive.
Anyway. Sherb why don't you post up some examples of your music. I'll keep an open mind, I promise.
Well...I guess I'll just have to try harder...
'80s - early 90's rock is my core. Van Halen, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Dokken, AC/DC, Sammy Hagar, Dio, Queensryche, Ratt, White Zombie (& Rob's post WZ work), Phantom Blue, Pat Benatar.
Some newer stuff: Paramore, Metric, Eve6, Bif Naked, Lacuna Coil, The Sounds, Chickenfoot
Others: Soundgarden, Cure, Cranberries, Eric Johnson, Fleetwood Mac, Pet Shop Boys, Sarah McLachlan, Suzanne Vega, Greatful Dead
Some Country: Alan Jackson, Allison Krauss, John Michael Montgomery, Sawyer Brown, Kentucky Headhunters, George Strait
Some Classic Rock: Boston, Kansas, Journey, ZZ Top
Some Electronic/Dance: DJ Encore, OceanLab, Haley, Kascade, Lasgo, Novaspace, Orion Too
There are others that are escaping me, but those are some of the key ones in my iPod at the moment.
Hey sherb, If you're into Dokken, you should check out T&N. It's basically dokken minus Don Dokken. their new CD "Slave To The Empire" just dropped a month or so ago.
It's funny you mention Dokken J, I had just started playing "Under Lock & Key" a little bit ago.
you will love T&N. It's good stuf man.
Oldschool where are you getting these pics from!
Making me think its you in that string!
Also my youngest daughter is named after an Eric Clapton song, Layla
did you know that he wrote that song for George Harrison's wife?
If I say I had to use Google to find out who George Harrison was, maybe that answers your question.
I have no clue with music!
Also it was the Wives choice. If my little angel was a boy he would have been called Jenson.
