How about Le Mans Old? So King Cobra doesn't get another top 3. Haha! Poor Cobra just couldn't get the speed on the straights at Road America. Felt nice finishing ahead of him for once. Sounds good to me Cotter.
That was a helluva battle between us. I didn't think that a porsche could be that w i d e. I didn't want to push the issue so much that it would have taken you, me or all three of us out. Good race Thanks
Not to be an ass, but you do need to work on holding your line a little better. You were driving defensively & that's fine, but every time I'd get to your tail, I'd set up my pass & would have a run then you'd slow up & drift right into my line on exit, forcing me to nearly wreck to keep from hitting you. If you wanna drive on the defensive, you have to hold your lane. Otherwise, someone is going to hit you because they can't stop when you slid out in fron of them. Again, not trying to be a dick here, just trying to help you improve.
One other thing to consider also. driving defensively wiht only one other opponent nearby is usually pretty safe, but when 2-3 cars start stacking up behind you, perhaps you should consider getting out of the way. this is a lesson everyone should learn. Plus when more cars stack up behind you, when you do finally make a mistake & give one car an opening, usually all of them will come through. so instead of losing 1 spot, you've lost 2 or more.
There is no problem with me. I know that sometimes driving on the edge you will be a little erratic at times. I do it too. I just kept it clean till a mistake was made and I went by. No problem. I have to remember not to get frustrated, stay calm and race my race.
Just to be clear though, moving once across the track in racing is allowed.
Only one direction change is allowed though so no left right action keeping a car behind you. If you stick to this it really is up to the driver or drivers behind to get past safely.
He was pulling "the slide job" though. the car would go to the inside on the defensive, then he's lose speed & practically stop right in front of me while i;m coming 10-15 mph faster. a lane change on the straight is one thing, bu he's changing lines mid corner effectvely forcing anyone behind him to almost wreck. I'm all for taking what's you'rs, but you still have to give the other guy room to race.

Like I said, I don't purposely drive like that. I'll watch my replay and see what I was doing. If I gotta sit out the next race to work on it, I will.

No don't do that. The only way to improve is with practice. There was nothing really wrong with what you were doing, just very dangerous. It's hard to check up when you've got about a 10-15 mph faster run through a courner & then the car ahead slides out in font of you. When I've got someone up my tailpipe, I try ti imagince a center line on the track & stay on one side of it. bear in mind you only want to do this in situations where someone is within a few feet of me. If they're more than a car lengtch back, I don't worry to much, anything les 7 I give some extra room.
If I may ask, how is this handicap system working out? I am curious because it sounds like a good compromise between making racing a little closer and not totally crushing the faster racers. Thanks

Personally, I think it's working quite well so far. With this system, there's a method behind the handicap. just like a weight penalty in some real racing series. You podium, you get a little penalty added, you don't podium, it comes off. It eliminates the posibility for sandbagging. If the fast guys wantto race without penalty, let the driv eup front by themselves all race. then they can pit 7finish outside of the top 3. It's up to them. What's more important winning or not having a handicap? Know what I mean?
I hate how much it cost but it looks like fun. The GT3 car is pretty sweet. I don't race R2 cars much at all so I can't base the opinion on much but still.
looking forward to running some of the others later tonight.
I see what you're saying, J. I may have to consider this or what went on in the Playboy Miata series. TBH, I don't think I want to spend 45 minutes determining handicaps then have an hour long race. Should be interesting either way.

they're actually R3. you'd be surprised I think. It's got about the same hp as the street version, just with a ton more grip & lighter. It's easier than driving S class if you ask me.
Just to double check, I don't need anything special except my number on sides, rear and hood and that's it?
I bought the Alex Job car and see that the tune you have is for the other one. Is there anyway for me to get your tune without buying the other car? And finally, just to make sure this saturday you are at Nurburgring GP Full?
This Saturday will be the first race I'll be running with the Elite wheel and CS pedals. Set them up last night and ran some laps. I think I've got the accel and FFB set the way I want it. Still dialing in the brakes. The pedal feels the way I want it but I need to tweak the in-game deccel dead zones. When I first hooked the wheel up they were set at inside15/outside 95. I've currently got them set at inside 1/outside 75 but I may end up lowering the outside setting to 60 or 65. My goal is to have them dialed in by race day. I'd hate to take everyone out in the first corner.
Was one hellava race wasn't it?

Im taking after my teacher, InkaBod. Haha! How can anybody else win the race if they can't get around you?
I don't purposly drive like that, I promise. It must be out of habit. I'm sorry if it's an issue. I'll try to work on it.

Looking to join in on the next race... I'll post my GT on the spreadsheet.
Johnnyfocus won if I recall correctly lol.
Nurburgring GP sounds good to me.

+ one on that snappy.
As I will be using a similar system for the BTCC does it work? If so are people happy with it?
I might have to buy the Porche pack later tonight!
It's the best money you'll spen on dlc in FM4.
