Keep at it Gunny. That podium will come someday and when it does it will feel EPIC!
For now just set your target at not been last. Watch how other people drive, ask questions, read books, watch videos but most importantly get seat time!. Once you get to second from last, aim for 3rd from last, 4th from last all the way up to 1st.
Racing is damn hard. But keep at it and you will get there.

I am indeed keeping at it as frustrated as I am.. And you're right, racing is damn hard. Steepest learning curve for any game I've played....evar!! And I've played for a bit. But, I'm a realist and understand the curve I'm against. I know Im getting better it just doesnt feel that way pitted against the likes of ya'll. I did end up turning a 2:07.999 last night and consistency started to get better. Goal has always been "NOT LAST" LOL. Over all, its still fun as shit! Ol lady yelled at me when I was holding fourth(however briefly) cause I was excited so theres that.

Sorry to hear about the troubles. Hope everything works out in the end well. My ol lady and I got into it pretty good about a month ago. I came real close to calling it quits. A friend reminded me to not make rash decisions in the heat of the moment. He was right, after we both cooled down for about three days, things got better. So I'd say the same to you and wish you all the best brother!
Yes gunny don't give up I too was in your shoes for awhile . It will come naturally as you learn the tracks and fall into a groove . One thing I did that helped me is do not get frustated when being past remember you are in training so race the races at your pace . I'm still a novice compared to some of the guys that we race with . Because of me racing with them I have observed many things from race line to braking in tight groups all this will fall into place for you in time so be patient . On a side note it took me about a full year to advance from last place on every race to a solid middle of the pack racer. Not in every race . So hopefully I will be closer to the front by the time Forza5 comes out........."OR NOT !"
I'd like to join in this week if I may. Been a long time since I raced, and I wasn't much then, but I'dlike to learn. I have the build and will put numbers on. Looks like fun!
