very cool Shrimp. I took an aerospace class a few years ago. Part of the class was a night looking through telescopes. Loved it. Would love to see some pics of your equipment.

My name is Bob SImmons, I'm retired from 35+ years of mainframe computer programming (US Navy, banks and software companies), age 62, live on Lookout Mountain near Trenton GA (far NW Georgia just south of Chattanooga). US Navy vet 6 yrs active duty in the 70s. Married for 39 years to Cindy Cavaness-Simmons, no kids. Cindy is a Physicans Assistant. I was born in Oregon, raised in SW Missouri, moved to NW Georgia in 1996.

In the last year I got to LVL 50 or so in FM3, then switched exclusively to FM4 about last fall, just started 2nd career year. I also sometimes enjoy Dirt 3. I don't do any other video games (not that I am opposed to them or anything like that)
I am an exclusive wheel/pedal user, have never used a pad for FM. I have dual Playseats side by side in front of a 55" HD TV. My seat has the Fanatec CSR wheel with Club Sport pedals, the guest seat has MS Wireless Racing Wheel and pedals. I'm experienced at doing the "Bearing Mod" on the MS Wheel, and have a big box of wheel/pedal parts to proove it! Anyone need a refurb MS wheel/pedal set???
I'm not a painter or tuner but would like to develop those skills in the future. Not at all artistic, mainly just like to drive. My favorite FM4 race classes are C, B, A and E in that order.
Got to be honest, cars are not my first love - Airplanes are. I soloed an airplane at age 16 (Mom had to drive me to the airport for my lessons - didn't have my drivers license yet!), got my Private Pilots license at age 17. Four years ago I realized my life long dream of owning my own plane. It's a 1975 Cessna 150M, tail number N3372V. http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N3372V.html. The plane is named "Cinful Bliss", after my wife of course! It cost me much less than the 2003 Toyota Highlander I bought new and still have. I fly about 100-120 hrs per year, once or twice a week. I do my own maintenance on the plane under the supervision of my airplane mechanic. I've flown the plane to these states since 2009: TN, AL, GA, FL, IL, IN, KY, IA, MO, AR, OK, KS. I just got back from the Sun n Fun Fly In in Lakeland FL about a month ago. http://www.sun-n-fun.org/ Camped out for 6 nights under my wing. That was fun!
I've been a hang glider pilot since 1975 (self taught - don't try that at home) and am still an unofficial instructor and mentor to newbie HG pilots at the flight park http://www.hangglide.com/ just down the road. I moved to this area in the 90's to be closer to the good flying sites in this area. Been flying HG's since the bad old days in the '70s, which I managed to survive without injury.
I enjoy hiking at the state park http://gastateparks.org/CloudlandCanyon, only 2 miles from our house. I hang out a lot at the flight park http://www.hangglide.com/ which is the coolest place east of the Mississippi. I enjoy Frisbee, Hacky Sack and buds ;-) with my buds.
My good buddy Pete Generous (who plays drums for Roy Clark) and I are self proclaimed world champion Lid Flippers (it's a long story, you need to see it in person).
My GT is Zagi Bob, a moniker I received from my hang gliding friends because I used to be into the Zagi flying wings big time. See http://www.zagi.com/
