Tonight's our last night of bowling - hope to be there just before 9... I'll have to go Alan Iverson on the practice session "...prac-tice, we talkin' prac-tice..."
Ok.. First off, let me apologize to ya'll. I was already in a mood from work today and everytime i fucked up tonight was getting me more pissed off. I. E. Sandyvag in full effect. I didnt want to go to bed in a mood so i just jumped off before i started throwing shit. Again, im sorry. Gonna hit a big red reset button and start fresh next week. You dudes are great, no reason to ruin your night. Sorry guys!
Had a great time tonight and a good turnout for the first week with 9-12 racers participating in this week’s festivity. Here are the highlights from this weeks races
Race #1 – Sunset Full – Driveby wasted no time in jumping out to a quick lead in the series as he posted the first 1st place of the season. Although struggled in the first few laps, he pulled it together and maintained a lead on second place finisher, MaxPerforma with brntguy rounding out the top 3. Shirmp also had a strong race just finishing outside the top 3 with a 4th place finish
Race #2 – Sunset Speedway – This proved to be a real wild-card race as nunderw00b while in the lead took turn 4 a bit wide and scraped the wall triggering a several car accident however MaxPerforma was able to find a hole in the smoke and managed to get through it cleanly. gtFOOTw and Tonyssr rounded out the top three.
Race #3 – Sunset Speedway Reverse – For the next race, we switched it up and looked to make right turns for the first time this season. Myself and brntguy was out front when a a few cars get together behind them. Brntguy was able to take the lead midway with nunderw00b moving into second to finish 1-2. Going into the final corner, driveby was closing in on me for 3rd when I decided to make a rookie mistake and hit the wall dropping back to 9th at the checkered flag
Race 4 – Laguna Seca – The second road course had the drivers heading out to California. I was able to jump out a quick lead with clean air and was able to win the race however had the race been a few laps longer, driveby would have made it real interesting as he was closing in quickly to finish 2nd. Nunder was able to round out the top 3.
Race 5 – Road Atlanta – What can we say, brntguy is a beast at this track and the results showed as he walked away with a 1st place finish. Max also showed is strength with a strong 2nd place finish with myself rounding out the top 3.
Race 6 – Benchmark Layout-A – What an interesting track this is and proved to be. With such a wide open choice of lines on one side of the track and the tight lines going into the hanger doors at the other. After the dust settled, driveby managed to find the way around the track posting his second win of the night with nunderw00b and brntguy finishing on the podium.
Race 7 - Benchmark Layout-A Reverse – Although we went in reverse, the same challenges presented themselves. The pain points seemed to be in the hangers as it was difficult to see if there was an accident however Shrimp made it through the race and posted his first top spot podium finish followed by Max and driveby.
Race – 8 - Indy GP – We closed the night’s activities with a trip to Indy. gtFOOTw was beyond strong in the final event and posted an impressive 1st place finish. Tricootertops showed up for the final event and he wasted no time in making a presence as he and driveby battled it out for what seemed like forever to finish 2nd and 3rd.
Overall, driveby and brntguy have shown they are both strong on the road courses and ovals each posting a win in both formats. I want to thank everyone for racing tonight. It was a blast and I look forward to racing with you guys next week.
Sorry for not getting in but my system screwed me again. I got the NAT issue and then the net issue. Don't know what is going on.
I was racing with Capt Nasties and Raddo and others before moving over to your room and get the NAT thing. Got that sorted and get the other. This is driving me nuts.

That is so frustrating. I now always reset my router before starting up my XBox prior to a race. It seems to keep that from happening. KNock on Wood!
Today were off to Japan to start tonight’s festivities at Motegi and Susuka before heading back to the states to finish the night. This week’s races look to be a bit calmer as visibility should be better at these tracks.
Driveby will have his hands full with the 10% handicap at Motegi and potentially at Road America with those long straights. Will be interesting to see how he performs in this week’s events.
I think brntguy has the advantage in the ovals this week as he is really strong on both Motegi and Indianapolis. As for the road courses, its anyone’s guess but I have a feeling Max is going to be tough this week in the bendy parts and the left handers.
I predict Driveby will maintain his series lead however the gap should close up a bit when the night is done.

from the meat coma and can still drive-lol!
The race of the night had to be Motegi Speedway (2nd race) as the field truly was showing give & take while still racing hard.
We also had 7 different winners out of the 8 races held this week. The handicap system in place seems to be working well as we have had 9 different winners this season and it really is anyone’s race to win each time the green flag drops. We still had a few incidents but it seemed better this week overall. And it should continue to get better each week.
Congrats to the winners this week and thanks for another great turnout.

So grim how many fantasy sports teams do you have?
None really. I enjoy watching and playing football but never got into the fantasy football. I do have a fantasy NASCAR team though. I'm just sick when it comes to stats.
Just wanted to say I really like this series and the format being used. A bunch of sprint races with give and take handicaps is perfect IMO. Unfortunately I can't make next week (evening shift at work) and the following week I can only make the first hour (mid-night shift).
Tomorrow the series heads to Spain for three races and the US for five. This will also mark the first race in the R3 IROC Camaro as we run the Benchmark Speedway.
Looking at the schedule this week, it’s going to be tough to call who will come out on top when the night’s over. Layout C and Iberian will be interesting as these are tracks that we don’t run a lot of races at and the Speedway in the R3 is a hold on to your ass kind of ride. All that said, it’s going to be a fun night and I’m looking forward to some good racing.

I have posted 2 basic tunes on my SF, an A600 and an R3-755 for this weeks event.
Another good turnout tonight we 11-12 racers making the trip to spain and then back to the US. Camino Extreme was indeed extreme! Had some rough spots on the track and was a case of who could survive the trouble spots. Overall, another fun week with 5 different winners and our first 3 time winner in the week with Jimee taking the checkers three times. We also had a first time winner with Tony taking the top spot at the Benchmark Super Speedway!
Good racing for the most part. I don't hold getting bumped against anyone- it happens- I do it. But I would rather slow down than bump someone off the track. I don't race with this group to win, I race to race and to get better at handling these stock cars which I don't get to drive much.
In the last two races I got bumped -spun on the oval and went from 8th to last on the last straight before the finish and bumped off the track from behind on Infineon and had to race the last 6 laps out of contention. It's not as much fun hot lapping by yourself. It's gonna happen but with no cautions lets be as considerate as possible while racing to win.
Tonight's our last night of bowling - hope to be there just before 9... I'll have to go Alan Iverson on the practice session "...prac-tice, we talkin' prac-tice..."
