Just throwing it out their...instead of an intermediate weight what about offering less pi upgrades to work with the light build?? if nothing else to confuse the matter, you're welcome.

That just might work.

You could go to this perhaps

Maximum Race pi for the light is B500. (Race Weight Reduction)

Maximum Race pi for the medium is B475. (Sport Weight Reduction)

Maximum Race pi for the heavy is B450. (Street Weight Reduction)

With the above builds at Road Atlanta, here are some initial lap times

B500 - 1:36.2

B475 - 1:37.7

B450 - 1:38.9

I can probably get another .2 out of each but not much more

Hmmmm!

I have tried the sports weight reduction. It seems to work, but allows a supercharger to be fitted. Not sure that's a good thing.

Currently favouring Parcells approach with Light build +10pi allowance. So light +10pi = 475

Makes the building and tuning a little less tricky too.

PS - saw your invite. Was juggling my kids at the time :)

After 15 laps and only just getting in to the 39s I realised I needed to add more pi (power) doh

That is about what I reckon is my absolute ultimate speed in the heavy. Sounds encouraging. The heavy will be vulnerable in mid to long straights.

Really interested to see what happens on sunday,.

Need another alien.Jonny?

Looks like this might work better than pure handicaps, but I suspect it will be on a per car basis.

Anyone notice the adjustable stock gearbox? Where did that come from?

So a second faster in the light than standard semi aliens:)

Heavy times still looks possible.

Come on gents. Let's roll out Sunday.

I dont know what the hell Church is running or how you guys are building your car cause Parcells is averaging 1:40 and 1:37.2...with the original 35 pi to both cars

With both my builds I spent the majority pi on a big ass engine block...no good?

@Church - if you get an opportunity can you send your tunes please, if not no big deal.

@Poids - should I build a light tune with only 10 pi added vs 35?

Should Parcells sssume the goal here is to equalize two identical cars with significant weigth difference? My testing yesterday would "probably" have my light build with no extra pi because I drove the light build with no upgrades just after testing my final heavy build and I thought my times were pretty close. I was definitely high at the time so my memory could be flawed but thats how I remember it.

Thanks for all who came and tested.

Heavy tune is clearly too crippling even for the mighty church and Jonny.

A sports weight 470pi looks like the way to go.

MLS showed that these cars are very close on tighter tracks.

I'll have a look at the 470 build once Jonny sends it over yes

Personally thought the car works well in race situations and the different build/tune approaches were noticeable. Good fun.

What do people think?

@amber - catch you another time mate

Really enjoyed the cars :) In regards to the cars I think 3 levels would be good as the only thing the heavy for killed on was speed. I could keep up in the turns but not on the straights. But me on a twisty track and I think the heavy would be a bit closer but it's all driver specific

So was thinking on the way to work. What if we have a set build but change the weight for each one. That Way everyone will have the same power etc but just weigh different? Keep it open tune though.
