I'll always have my old Halotards friends on my friends list on XBL. We don't post much anymore though. Not just here, but anywhere. I'll always remember those good old H3 days though - great times. Really glad to have had the clan then.
I'm not personally into the 'social' shit out there and in light of all the intrusive data gathering nonsense going on, i'm even less interested in twitter/google/facebook/email now. I only have accounts on twitter and facebook so i can follow game devs and participate in their markeing junk. I don't know how 2o2p is going to tie into those places but if it becomes a focal point of the site, I can't see how I'll fit in. Forums are old school but I"m an old BBSer, that's 'normal' to me. But all the young 20ers grew up on facebook and other such sits so it's an interesting challening to bridge the two mentalities. Old crotchity asshats like me are weary privacy and putting too much 'out there' in the public domain but the young kids today run around the internet totally uninhibitied. Reading about how time is so tight for for the main guys of the site, maybe it's time to look for a new figure head for the site to coordinate a social calander and events and what not. Maybe someone younger with more disposable time who can bring new ideas to the mix. I never blogged until 2o2p brought that feature in and in v2, i had a top 5 blog and it was fun doing that. So I'm interested in seeing what new internet things can be brought here to participate in, but they need to be run/hosted here not stuff like integrated facebook feeds or junk like that, i'm not interested in that kind of thing. I don't trust those companies with my data and that's really the bottom line.

I miss your blog, and also the top 5, and also the ability to see how many times your blog had been read.
It accounted for almost no traffic so it wasn't worth rebuilding in the new site. In fact, I still think areas of this site need to be taken away as well. Need more consolidation in general.

As much as I'm sure we'd like to share terrible tattoos, can we get back to talking about how we can make this place better and keep the skanky tattoos to NSFW and the couple of unrelated topics we already have in this forum? Otherwise, we'll have to nuke it again and start over like the GTA thread.

I tthink more skanky tattoo pics would improve this site! ( Who can't be topical?)
As for window dressing, there's a fine line between "easily read and functional" vs "wow, it's so pretty, but I can't read it". I do think there is some good talent here that would be able to pretty it up AND keep it legible from what I've seen.
