really casual. Like I said, total beginner. I'm only basing my statements on collecting general products in games and life. I do know that in GT many of those cars are imports from previous games without much improvement, or they are different versions. But if that increases the collection exponentially then it doesn't really matter I guess. If there are a good amount of unique cars then I would assume that's a good thing.
I do a podcast with a guy who races a lot and loves GT and Forza, so I hear about it from him.
Just wanted to reiterate for those with slow connections that still want all digital - it's possible, if you rent or borrow a game, to install and then buy digitally.
"When a game launches on Xbox One -- any game -- the digital version is also simultaneously available. Moreover, you can convert the physical version of any game to its digital counterpart using a disc. "If you want to convert your physical license to digital, you could rent the game or borrow it, [and] download it to your box without having to download it online. And then we do allow you to convert that to a digital license," Penello explained."
That's probably a good strategy for those with gamefly or who rent from other sources (even with good connections) who want to turn around and buy the game.
One of the most interesting idea that I have liked about the x1 is this idea of the multi layer processing. They keep apps semi running the background so you can switch on the live or have that snap thing were it is running at the same time. I think there was some vid of live tv showing while playing games.
It will be interesting to see what game devs do to embrace this. Imagine having multiple game instances running on the same machine at the same time. Lots of potential.
I know they talk briefly about matching making running in the background while you game is still finishing. stuff like that will be cool to see how it panes out.
On a different topic, are people going to get new headsets for the x1 or will most people hold out for the adapters? I am not a fan of the idea to have to use the xbox general headset day one on my x1 for games like cod ghost, but don't have much choice.

I'm holding out for the adapter. Sound will work on my Astros. Plus the wife would never allow a new headset purchase. I'm lucky enough to just get the XB1.

Looks like some game downloads will be rather large.
Yep, and I would venture to say that more of the smaller downloads are games that haven't been tailored for the xbone. More than likely, they'll only get larger as time goes by.
I may get my first ever gaming headset. I want it to be fully compliant for the XB1. I know I'll have to wait until 2014 but they may be out by the time I get my XB1.
I'll be getting new headset when available. I want to take advantage of the newer tech on the system. Plus, my X-ll's are begging to be laid to rest....
I had been following that story. Nice to see MS is not the bad man some people have made out. I wasn't surprised his new XB1 got banned and I didn't expect it would be permanent. I wonder if I had received mine early, would I have plugged it in? Probably not and for the expected outcome.
Due to a retail partner’s system issue, a very small number of Xbox One consoles were shipped to consumers before the 11/22 street date. We’re pleased to see the initial response to Xbox One has been so positive, but given we are still putting the finishing touches on our games, UI and online services, as well as confidential partner and media agreements, these consoles units will be restricted from connecting to Xbox Live until closer to our launch date.
We love that @Moaonlightswami is excited about Xbox One and we can’t wait for him to enjoy it closer to launch.
Trade-in ANY used Game for Assassins Creed IV, CoD: Ghosts or Battlefield 4 on PS3, Xbox 360 or WiiU - Best Buy Canada, Nov 9-11
Best Buy Canada is running a limited time promotion this weekend only (Nov 9-11).
Bring in any used game in good condition and you can trade it for your choice of Assassin's Creed IV, Call of Duty: Ghosts or Battlefield 4 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or WiiU.
Used game must be complete with jewel case.
Used game must be for 3DS, PS3, Xbox 360 or WiiU.
Limit of one trade per person per day for this promotion.
For the Americans that live near the border, it might be worth a trip up north to do some shopping with friends or family.
Quote from Best Buy :
Here is how it works. Bring a copy of ANY used Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or the Wii U game (one that works and has the original jewel case) and you can trade it in for a current generation (Xbox360, PS3 or WiiU) version of: Assassin’s Creed IV, Call of Duty: Ghosts or Battlefield 4.
Since all of these games also offer next-gen upgrades, you could make it super slick by getting the version for the system you plan to buy and then just paying the $10 upgrade fee (on top of the value of whatever used game you trade in).

Xbox One Kinect tracks head lean, voice commands in Battlefield 4
Does Forza have a Yaris? How about a Prius?
And a Leaf
Also a Honda CR-Zed hybrid
and to show it's coolness, a Tesla that so far has not ignited...
Not sure if this has been posted yet.

Yeah, I came in here to post that. That does look pretty slick.
came to post that. I'm very excited.

Would ease data caps as well...

I'm looking to get a new headset for the Xbone.
everyone must wait - they got delayed because even the new ones use the adapters. The only native X1 headset (with X1 cable) is the packed in one.
:sigh:
what I'll do is run chat playback through "speakers" into my Astro A50's and put the mic around my neck, until then.

More on above.
Sweet deal for you Canadians
For those of you thinking of getting new headsets you may want to look into the Polk 4 Shot due to release in late Feb.
Damn. Had to break it to the missus that I was buying the one. Everything was going well until she asked me how much it was going to cost.........
That is indeed a tough conversation...however, she did just receive a new Coach purse....
