My Wife is fine with $40 and under purses and now she has her own flat panel TV. I get mad money and save it like a squirrel. XB1 is covered and probably a headset too. The headset might lose out to games though.
everyone realizes the "new headsets" are just current gen ones that can use the adapter, right? There are no actual "next gen" headsets coming yet.
On another note, AC4 will be 20GB, Forza 5 will be 31GB. Not sure how big BF4 will be but I'd guess 30ish. Looks like I'm out 80GB day one. I'll start that download Friday and then hopefully can play when I get back into town on Sunday.
edit: looks like BF4 is 34.9GB on PS4, so I'd expect the same on X1.
Shadow, are you saying there is no technological difference between the next gen headsets and current ones? I understand MS is providing adapters but I thought the sound processing was going to be 'different'.

Well as of now there are no "next gen" mic'd headsets except the packed in one. If they're all using a converter into a 2.5mm jack then all headsets should receive the same sound. Though the actual mics may be better, I don't think this has been shown to be the case. The connection is better from the controller to the system, which will help the sound, however the weak link is the 2.5mm jack, if anywhere. There is no headset that will be directly using only the new X1 wire connection (except the packed in one). The game audio comes from optical and has nothing to do with the controller or mic.

I admit some lack of knowledge on the subject. I thought the new headset used Wi-Max for the audio so Optical would not be required. I don't want no stinking wires. :(

well optical still has nothing to do with voice audio. Optical is for game audio, they're two different things.
There must be a connection from the headset to the controller for voice audio. The only way it won't is if it's licensed for the Wi-Di wireless spec inside the headset, and I don't think any down the pipe are. The only headphones that ever were allowed to do audio for voice over the air were the Tritton Warheads.
That was solid, with some great tough questions.. I like MS's approach, even if I'm more into the gaming aspects than the "digital hub ability" of it. If their vision is integration then they have to start somewhere in the best way they know.
How about that paisley button-up on Jeff Henshaw?!? Definitely an engineering manager's ensemble.
I didn't realize this, but apparently Comcast has removed the 250GB limit monthly. I was trying to find out how much I had left, and couldn't find the meter - then came across some articles stating that. Last May:
Good lord, if there was any doubt that physical media needs to stay that list is it. At least one of those games is more than my entire monthly allowence...
I feel like this console should have been released in March 2014.
Ya, both consoles started shitting out 'not available at launch' notices the week of launch. I'm a bit surprised at Twitch though, Sony after all figured it out. I expect there was a truck full of money involved in making this delay happen.
Drooling...Thiis will enable me to show off full custom paints on cars with a pan around, light playing off the car, in video mode instead of a static shot of a car.
That is actually pretty cool. Too bad the clips are limited to 5 minutes or less. We will still have to go to a game's film list to get something longer.
true but how often do you need more than 5 minutes? Halo for instance has its own theatre for that anyway. Otherwise you can just stream with Twitch, or you could get a capture card - which will work with the X1 but not the PS4 due to copy protection.
My wife buys Coach purses all the time... I don't get why they cost between 150-1500 dollars.

I heard quicker annd done in a way as to not drag down game/processor speed? I don't know if that's what was said, but that's the way I heard it!
Anyone know if there is a list somewhere of the cable providers that are compatible with the Xbone TV features?

Then recently:
https://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/data-usage-what-are-the-different-plans-launching/
Looks like soon it'll be 300GB for most plans, with more for some higher ones, and $10 per 50GB over.
So, those with Comcast worried about caps - I think you'll be fine.

well, just FYI that's probably not the download size. They expand as they install.
Words are only 10% of communication (sadly).
what in the fuck, X1?

Full painters nirvana for Fm5.

lol
maybe. though I've also heard PS4 streaming is really glitchy. I'm trying to view any PS4 stream on my 360 and none are working.
