Wife's all Pampered Chef on stone work, have a couple pizza stones, couple of what look like low height large casserole dishes to me (two fill the oven) and a regular deeper casserole dish,  a "muffin" stone and, this is the weird one, a stone item with only two of what appear to be bowls(?), like dog dish sized, side by side, one piece. (What the heck is THAT for?) Oh, and a stone bundt cake looking thing.

The pizza stones absolutely rock, and you can even use them for hot subs, easily the most used pieces we have.

I don't like pizza anymore. Night before last hubby was all amped up for pizza. I got an antipasto salad and a garlic roll. Why don't I like pizza anymore?

Nothing compares to one done at home the way you want it. I guess it does hinge on if you're any good at making pizza...

Fresh ingredients is such a bonus, and the way you want them. I mean, even bacon...one of my fav's at home is bacon AND ham on a pizza.

Now, we do have some good places around here, even one in town that uses a bonafide stone oven/wood fire, place called Scratch. Good stuff.

Oh, so you're THAT GUY!  Careful, you'll get a reputation.

I got to replace a brake line on my pick up. Rust through 1 inch from the fitting to the rubber line down to the rear axle. I looked over the entire vehicle for any other signs of possible problems and everythings great, just 3 inches of line before the drop down to the rear end. On the plus side, I'd swear they designed it to be replaced, was quite easy, nothing in the way, harnesses and everything out of the way AND it was behind the gas tank along the frame rail AND still easy to remove/replace. Quite bizarre.

Well, my buddy that owns the car is going to be helping me when I do my clutch/timing chains/valve springs/re-seal here in the next month or so.  So I think I'm making out ok.  cool

You are gonna pull the motor and do all that on the stand right? Or do you have a lift? \My buddy opened his own shop 2 years ago and I helped him assemble his lifts so as long as I plan ahead, I have access to the nicest 4 post oversized alignment rack you ever walked under... cool

Morning all!

Front end will come off the car, then the motor/trans will come out as an assembly.  Then split the trans off and put the motor on a stand.  Got a cherry picker, so it'll be pretty cake.  Timing chains are actually on the rear of the motor, so trans has to come off.  You "can" do it in the car...but it's a pain in the ass.  Better pulling everything out and having wide open access....and it'll give me a chance to clean out the bay real good.

And Good Morning!  19

Well, if you're doing the clutch, the trans comes off anyway. That's why I was guessing you might as well pull it all out.

Morning Folk...or Afternoon.

Pizzas and motor mechanics two subjects I know little about, not a fan of the pizza, and as for motor mechanics, there are holes that need the right liquid pored in 'em from time to time, anything I know beyond that is a state secret.

The Filming job was mostly as usual boredom, eight hour round trip, four hours waiting to get on set, then 15 mins shooting, two wide shots, one close up, job done. Only interesting thing was as my arms could be seen and I have a tattoo that goes from wrist to elbow on my right forearm that would not be seen on a neolithic shaman, the makeup dept. had a cover up job to do. By the time they had done even I had to look close to see it was a cover up and from any more that a couple of feet you would have no idea. I felt quite naked.

Still with a bit of luck I shmoozed another job while I was there on another shoot with a bigger budget.

Networking!

And truly, the most important thing to know is that fluids go in those holes, the proper fluids for those holes, and that the fluids need monitoring for proper levels. The rest of it's hopefully not needed if you know that much. Cept maybe tires, totally different subject though.

Congrats and good morning!

Oh yeah the round black things that need replacing when they have no grooves left, handy tip there for you all cheeky

Yeah networking is a handy skill in my game.

Good morning.

So I’m at the dentist this morning for a standard check-up and cleaning. All goes well and after the hygienist finishes the cleaning she asks me a question she knows the answer to…”Are you a flosser Alan?” to which I promptly reply “No I’m a business analyst.” Ba da dum!

Alternatively you could have replied "no, you are". 129

Thank you Jones! That seems quite appropriate I suppose.

In the "True North" we consider Yankees to be from the south (i.e. the U.S.A.) in general.

Yeah, I was hoping Kitten would repost so I could get all bent out of shape. Then I realized her foibles were in relation to Yankees.

Bummer. ;)

Okay, "up north" and the "great white north" are completely different...although both talk funny...

And Kat I'm quite good at poking fun and inflaming hemmorhoids it would seem.

Hmm, no pun intended...

Jones and I are so good at it we tend to cut each other slack due to historical precedent.

Parcells and I were at the dentist at the same time! That's....weird somehow.

So I realized today I need to spend less time in my clan forum and more time here. Here, I can say something that sounds derogatory but obviously isn't, and you glorious bastards joke with me about it. There, people get their ass on their shoulders, get offended as if I meant it, and worst of all put words in my mouth. For the love of gawd do NOT put words in my mouth. I like it here, and made the mistake of going "there" too much recently. Now I'm pissy and ready to quit the clan, even though I try to get people motivated for clan nights, etc, while the offended parties do fuck all.

This is the point where you guys say "there's always drama in clans."

I'm tempted to repost my horribly offensive post here, to see if anyone gets ass-on-shoulder with me. I think the "regulars" will laugh it off and maybe even answer the question I asked. But with my luck, a bunch of people who don't know me will jump into the thread and give me shit.

Touchy people piss me off. If you pay attention at ALL, you'd see some of my favorite people (especially in my clan) are from up north. If I say "Yankees" I don't honestly mean it in a negative way. FFS.

The end.

Let us see the post.  if the pissiness is in 2old4BS that would make it funny from the get go.

We don't get a lot of drama in our clan, and when we do it usually centers around either Oldschool or me...sometimes both of us. If folks would just do shit my way the first time there wouldn't be a problem. My feet are cold.

It's cold and there's ice outside of my house. It's like the ice that's inside of my freezer, only not in cube form. And it's cold.

Heeh the cold weather in Texas is even deemed news worthy here, we so love to hear of others having it worse than us.
