Morning all!

I have a doctor appointment today. I'm going to try not to lose my temper. They are now catering to the ultra rich: they are concierge drs now. So for the rest of us, there are only a few appointment slots available. There are NO urgent slots available. The soonest you can get in is two weeks for an urgent appointment, and that's of course only if one of the few non-concierge slots are open. The on site lab is only for concierge. Etc etc.

So their patients who have been there for decades are now treated like we are not wanted there. But if you have a large lump sum of $$$ to give them each year, you get special treatment.

And before y'all suggest it, I CAN'T go anywhere else. I have friends all over the state, and in a support group here locally. My dr really is THE best in his field. Which means I can't bitch at him, because I'm afraid he will dismiss me as a patient.

He can't flat out dismiss you as far as I know.  He'd be investigated and have his license suspended or revoked permanently if the dismissal wasn't carried out properly, for good reason, and you aren't harmed by the dismissal(care suffers).  A dr also shouldn't risk mal-practice by causing harm putting less urgent appointments before more urgent.  Yes, be courteous with him and he needs to remember he gets paid when he sees you.  A good relationship with a Dr you see regularly only helps.  Been with my back Dr. like 17 years or something.  I even get discounts from him!

I've had Drs bump me to another appt for more urgent needs of another patient.

Great morning here.  My bacon fried potatoes, sauteed mushrooms in butter, and 4 eggs are causing a rucus in my gut though.  Worth every bite!

I no longer any tolerance for forum trolls even if it's light trolling. I was enjoying posting on arstechnica because I thought a reputable website like that would have nice people on it especially after all the articles about trolling they've done. I post a comment on Diablo 3's auction house and I thought it was a decent neutral comment. Then someone posted a reply saying essentially it was stupid. So now it's ruined, no more posting there and now I don't even want to go read articles there. Why can't people just be nice?

maybe you shoulda showed a little tail?

What's your opinion on the d3 auction house? My opinion is it's closed. Beyond that I don't have much of an opinion...I used it, but I'm not gonna cry over it leaving.

As a writer, I expect negative feedback on almost everything I put across the internet. I don't expect everyone to agree with my point of view, the content of my argument, or even like me. It would be nice if everyone agreed with me, but acquiescence is often an impediment to progress. However, when the criticism is especially ignorant or spiteful, I am always willing and eager to escalate, without resorting to name calling (usually) but I am not above reciprocating with a well-worded personal attack. Shake it off and have your say...or else they win.

I just thought that rare and powerful weapons should have a higher upkeep cost or are more prone to breaking as a way to offset how powerful they are since that's why the auction house had problems dealing with people who could put on the time to get the best weapons versus those who could not. The person typed that my comment had no point and would be annoying to players. I'm over it, I don't mind him/her disagreeing I just wish they had been more polite.

Main problem perceived was people without a clue how to play buying top of the game equipment.

Personally, what do I care? I didn't play with them anyway.

Another point of view was the cost of really good quality equipment was out of the reach of anyone not willing to open their wallet. The drops of this quality were so rare that rare doesn't adequately describe it.

I'm much happier today.

I usually only use my toes for counting, what is this "alphabet" of which you speak? Will I need more toes?

Write out the alphabet with your feet, for those of us with genetically disfigured feet we must educate them often on how to function.

So...shit sorta day, hospital visit with Mrs Knight, nerve damage worse than thought so more tests to be done at yet another hospital, this time in Dublin. So that is now three hospitals involved and a shite load of driving and days spent sitting around waiting rooms, today we spent a total of four hours in three different waiting rooms, sometimes just waiting to be moved to wait somewhere else. Ah well, all part of life's rich tapestry...
