My new ASUS AC68U router is coming up as Moderate. I may or may not be running the party. Seems like once I'm in, it's okay.
My new router is set to plug-n-play and I've had no trouble whatsoever for weeks, until a few days ago when it got stuck on Moderate. No amount of resetting the router/computer/Xbox would fix it. So I went in and DMZ'd the Xbox, assigning the 360 an IP and assigning that IP to the DMZ in the router. Reset everything. Still Moderate. I seriously think it's something to do with LIVE and not my router. Anyway, went in and port triggered the top two recommended ports, 88 and 3074 (I just always set both of them to both UDP and... uh... the other one) and presto magico I'm back up and running. Cut into my gaming time like 45 minutes though! I'm scarred, lol.
Not sure if any of that might help, but as always, thanks for hosting, had good laughs with the peeps.

I've been reading that changes have occured for Live that require more ports open. XB1 related.
I also read the DMZ solution may or may not work depending on the router.
Multiple Xboxes on the LAN can cause moderate/strict issues too. I.E. My Lan 3x360 + 1 XB1.
I didn't seem to have any problems last night so I may hold off dinking around anymore until I have to.
Who do I need to send a request to on Thursday night to get in on the Halo 4 action?
Send an XBL msg to me for now. My FL may be full. Most people on my FL play Halo so grab some of those you know for your FL. The party fills early so get in early if you can. Sometimes it takes a few games for a spot to open.
Would it be possible to start up a 2nd room to catch the late people or people waiting to get in? Just curious. I wouldn't mind helping out with that if I can.

Sometimes we do but it depends on many things. The number of people waiting, who has who on their FL, willingness to run customs etc.
Bluestar is on standby but Cha0s Qc steps in too.
In the last couple of months we've only had one or two people waiting and they usually get in.
There is an 'after' party that starts at 11 Eastern. I've never been awake for that but some of the later crowd drop into that.
I can fill out another room if we have the people. It has picked up in the last couple weeks or so but I've been late to the game. I'm in the middle of full-on battles to get my child to lie down and go to sleep right now which usually takes an hour of arguing where I sometimes fall asleep from exhaustion.
We can put up a room that can hit matchmaking if we don't have the numbers for a second custom room. I'm not opposed to rolling in matchmaking until it fills out. I just like being able to teabag Bubba at every opportunity, even if he is on my team.
I'm willing to pull in randoms too on Thursdays, if I'm out there.
New blood is always welcome. I can flog 2old2play to them.
I meant 2o2p randoms, though of course we always let our friends know about 2o2p and love it when everyone meets.

Nope. I come here for the people, not for any benefits to Halo Diehards. After Halo 4 hit I spent quite a bit of time getting to know various communities and making allies, but there was a lot of clashing between hyper, younger members in those communities and my core group and I couldn't find a direction for my site that felt right. I met a lot of cool people and hosted countless parties but I got burnt out trying to grow my community and Halo 4 was D.E.D. anyway. Edie, Darth and w0rm were over here a lot, and I finally followed over, and have really enjoyed all the people I've met and joining in on the parties.
Halo Diehards for the most part has been pretty dead for a long time, there's just me and the gang and all the people who like us, lol. It's not usually hard to fill a party every night, but it's just gaming friends. Halo diehards, not Halo Diehards, heh heh. I'm totally ok with that, don't have the energy to keep trying to build a community right now, so I'm just cruising for now, though I am trying to get back into posting up articles and such and I will be doing vids again as soon as I get my new computer back on line, etc. Got a REALLY cool picture I'm working on that I CAN'T WAIT to share with everyone, Halo related.
