You just made the crybaby list Wheels, way to go! And thanks for the idea.
First things first, last night I took a peak and it was definitely race medium tyres I was most happy with so we will be using race medium when not using dirt or snow tyres.
Not because of Wheels harping but because he brought it to my attention, the below tracks are definites for tomorrow with only the dirt and snow tracks with predetermined starting times and rest assured Spa will be the last track.
Chamonix Main – 8:00 EST start
Nordwand K – 9:00 EST start
Autumn Ring – REV
Suzuka
Spa
If you want other tracks let me know and I’ll see what can be done.
Good question Wheels. Better than my answer I'll bet.
I ran out of pre-tested cars but should be able to correct that this weekend. Been mulling it over and have decided to go with 2 cars we haven't driven in a while...I think we used sport soft for both these cars in the past so that wont change.
If I took anyone out at either Monaco or Apricot Hill last night then I apologize - my screen really was going blank. I run my PS3, PS4, and DirecTV cables through my stereo receiver so that I can use it as an HDMI hub. I just bought the PS4 about a month ago and haven't used the PS3 since. I moved the PS3 into a new slot which I learned last night still has the 'stand-by' option turned 'on,' so every 15-minutes the receiver would enter 'standby' mode and the screen would go blank! It just so happened that the final time it went blank was right before the last turn at Apricot Hill while I was leading the race!
Can't speak to your concern over causing anyone issues but I'm doubtful that was the case.
Just please confirm you didn't leave for good because we were taking cracks at you purposely crashing out on your last race so you could be at the front of the next race...none of us believed that but we were hoping "surely he didn't leave because of the cracks we made."...we've been much worse but the timing seemed plausible.
No, not at all. That was the 4th or 5th time that the screen went black - we were in practice sessions the other times it went back. I'd basically had enough after the last one because I couldnt figure out why it was happening.
The night started out frustrating so it was just as well it ended that way, too. The reason you guys kept seeing me jumping on and offline early in the night was because I had to download that 600MB update and each time it would get anywhere from 75%-97% complete and then give me an error, so I would turn everything off, turn it back on, and then start the download again.
Just so you guys dont think I've died I just wanted to say that I'm more than likely done with GT6. I'd been losing interest for awhile and buying a PS4 back in December has caused me to lose interest even more. I only have about $2500 of game credits and with no interest at all in the seasonal events I'm pretty much at a stop since I can no longer buy cars. Project Cars does look interesting, but it wont be a must-have for me unless the reviews are really good. MLB14 and Madden 15 are what I have my attention now - both are amazing on the PS4.
Anyway, enjoy your racing - maybe I'll hop in from time to time if I decide to hang on to the PS3.

Don't Quit Indy!!!
P.(arcells)S. Don't be lazy...Get a race series going...Hit the seasonals which I know you can rack up easy money!
Jason, before you abandon sim racing, give some thought to updating your equipment. I recently purchased a Thrustmaster T300RS wheel and pedal set and it has changed GT6 for me. The FFB and physics transmitted by that wheel are better than any other wheel I have used with GT5 or GT6, including the Logitech DFGT, Fanatec GT2, CSR, CSR Elite and CSW, and even the Thrustmaster T500RS. The T300RS spins more quickly and does a fantastic job of communicating exactly what the car is doing. It is easier to recover from spins and I really can throw the car into the corners. I cannot recommend this wheel enough, it is simply superb. It also works well with Driveclub on PS4 and is PC compatible, in case you decide to try that at some point.
I appreciate the advice, but it's not the wheel that's gotten stale, it's the game that's gotten stale. One thing that's always irritated me about this game is the money system. I can play all the seasonals, earn about $20-million, and then blow it all on one Ferrari F1 car. Ridiculous. It's good to read that Project Cars will not have this type of system. It makes no sense why I have to spend hours racing offline in order to earn money so that I can buy cars to race online. Why not just let me pick any car in the game that I want, even if it's just for online? If anything, let me have all the cars for free but then charge me for the upgrades. I'd spend time doing a few offline races if I had to earn money for a new set of tires. Have a 'hardcore' mode for people who like unlocking things by earning credits.
If I do end up getting Project Cars then that definitely will be the end of GT6. I dont know how many of you have a PS4, but the difference in graphics is amazing. It would be hard to go from Project Cars back down to GT6. As a matter of fact, it's actually irritating that the PS4 system launched a year ago yet one of Sony's flagship game series, Gran Turismo, has nothing yet for it. MLB The Show is Sony's premier sports game and it's flat-out superb in every way (and MLB 15 looks even BETTER than the current version.) There's hardly a day that goes by that I'm not squeezing in a game of baseball!
I have been playing Project CARS since early 2012. It is coming along nicely, but I would not assume it will replace GT6. I still play GT6 every day, I play Project CARS once every few weeks. It has far fewer cars and less fantasy and city tracks, both of which are GT hallmarks. It also does not yet have FFB and physics that are as good as the FFB and physics of GT6 with the T300RS wheel. That wheel has made GT6 a completely different game for me as far as FFB and physics, even compared to my T500RS.
Much to my surprise it seems we've yet to run a WRC car. No doubt because of the high costs so because of that and the car is guaranteed to be awesome we'll run just the one car this week.
Anyone wishing to name a few tracks go for it but we must do at least one dirt track with a WRC car. Doesn't have to be what is listed just putting everyone on notice we'll be playing in the dirt at some point Thursday evening.
February 26, 2015:
Car 1 – Ford Focus RS WRC 07 - 2008 - race hard/dirt
If you haven’t heard there was another big GT6 update released yesterday so give yourself extra time to download and install if you’re racing tonight.
I can guarantee you we will be running the new track (Midfield Raceway) tonight. It will definitely be the track I start with but we will probably also race it later in the evening when more people are around.
Also, remember to do the new seasonal event to win the new MINI Cooper vision car as it’s a pretty safe bet we’ll be racing this car next week…an upgraded MINI Cooper, are you kidding me there’s no way Parcells cannot drive this car.
Car 1 is a filler I thought we ran before but must have been a very long time ago if at all so not sure on the tires or even how good the car is but its always been excellent in other games so not concerned.
Car 2 is Euclid's first entry and I'm sure that's awesome too for the same reasons I know the 207 is awesome. If Ueclid wants to run car 2 all night (only one car submitted) we'll be dropping car 1 this week.

Not sure whats gottin into Dan and Wheels but both have submitted cars so we’ll forego the cars I had planned for this week and run them later. First up are Wheels choice.
Reminder that last weeks update included a couple new vision cars which you can win via a special event one lapper which you should do cause this weeks Lexus is one of them.
