Dante-I don't know if pCars will have any way of exchanging tunes. I wouldn't worry too much about that. There are some guys here at 2o4f that will figure out the tuning really quickly and enlighten us who can't tune. And, yes, that move by the AI was crazy. I wasn't expecting it at all because I had a decent gap. That Ginetta I was driving is down on HP/top speed to the other cars in the GT4 class. It becomes quite apparent when your racing as well because even when you get by them in the corners they catch you on the straights. That's what he did.
Watch this one, it might make some of you pre-order, lol.
AI have always been the same over the many generations of racing games that I have played. Yeah, when you first get the game they are fast. Until you get the hang of the physics and maybe tune the car a bit. The early games didn't have much tuning, if any at all. Eventually, I'd resort to deliberately starting at the back to see if I could make my way throught the field. All in the search for some good competative racing. Mp racing always had it's drawbacks too. Luckily, I found 2old4Forza early on after finding Forza 3. That, by far, has been THE best racing I've ever experienced in any racing game. Really miss racing with you all. IRacing is very good as well, once you get past the Rookie class and develop some race craft.
Project CARS changes that. The AI is unbeleivable. They go for a gap without crashing you off the track. There still is contact once in a while but they don't behave like any other AI I have ever seen. Once you get past them - it isn't necessarily over. They might still attempt a move on you. Not like the old days where you were guaranteed to run off into the sunset. The developers have done an excellent job. Really incredible.
I really can't wait until this game is out and you guys have it in your hands. We will be having some really epic races.
Not 100% sure but the LE could possibly be sold out in that area as I recall they were actually only releasing a limited amount of Le, you can still get the Le digital copy.
@ snappy I was just reading a thread on the Ai and the devs were talking about implementing different Ai aggression levels per race class. Example formula class more cautious about player surrounds, touring cars more aggressive and willing to bump/rub and exchange some paint. All in all pretty cool!
I was also swimming through the force feedback setup guide and took it upon myself to slightly tweak a 2 or 3 aspects, nothing major but the little I did made a massive improvement over the stock, I hope before the release they can tweak the major wheels stock settings. Out of all the available racing titles ive never seen so many ingame adjustable ffb parameters, cool for those seeking the absolute custom ffb but mind boggling for a new comer.
I just posted on the forum regarding more info for North Americans...I'll get back to you when I get an answer.
@ snappy not much really I have a tx as well I left everything at stock and in the ffb configure setup beside the pedal calibration a raised the increase wheel deadzone setting to .03
than in the ffb setup I just raised the fz, fy, fx and mz settings up 1 notch
I pre-ordered, as well, from Best Buy. I'll keep My eye out for any news on LE availability for North America in case anything changes.
Looking forward to racing again with old friends on a regular basis.

The AI in pCars is...well...not like any other AI that I can remember. Look at this short video. The red Merc is AI and I'm in the Black and Yellow Merc.
Nice video snappy the Ai is so good! I can't wait for them to adjust the aggression for each class.
You should take the first min of the video and post it on the forum as it looks like the Thomas the tank engine bug is present once the Ai bumps you. You start getting puffs of white smoke puffing out like a train.
No way, Gizzie. They are fast. I run them between 85 and 90% . Depends what class I'm driving. It's not just that they are quick but they also attack. Even after you get by them. They will try to get position back until you've gapped them. They really are remarkable. They do some weird things here and there but no worse than any other title I've tried in the past.
@OldSchool - Currently, No. They really haven't shown anything at all about how the paint/livery editor will work on console. I think it will end up being some version of the Shift 2 livery editor. So, I expect you will be able to change your number.
looks like the time is just after weve all told you the game is awesome
lol
I believe the majority of you guys will love it. The physics are different from the Forza series in some ways but I think you guys will adjust nicely. I still don't know how doing custom paints will work on the finished game. It bugs me because I would love to make a video of that. Especially for guys like Oldschool, who love to paint and are really good at it. It will have that feature but I have now idea how in depth it will be. If you guys want me to make another video just put your requests in this thread. I haven't tried to tune any cars yet. Maybe something on those menus?
I have been running pCars every day now for the last 6 weeks or so. The physics are solid. They will seem different from what we're used to with Forza but not in a terrible way. Tires take time to heat up, they can overheat/wear and the temperature also effects how long they take to warm up. The brakes, at least in the race cars, also need time to heat up. The game does this without turning into some impossible to drive super hard game. It's very cool. This is definitely NOT NFS. This game makes having an XBone or PS4 worth it, for me.
This will enable using the PC to play off the X box whilst others are watching TV.
On a more technical note, will it allow your PC to do 3 monitor Forza?
Also, it's an Xbox game played on windows 10 on the PC with an Xbox gamer on X box, BUT will a PCars PC game interact with an XBox game. I have to assume that PCars would be on Windows 10 as well? If so, it would open up your friends list and create a more accessible group of racers.
And a minor note, I'd be able to paint in Forza on my PC...wonder if the game pad would be necessary?
Awesome video Snappy, I hadn't seen this yet.
Minecraft PC and Minecraft XBone aren't the same game near as I know, or is it on the One yet? I know it's on the 360 and that version usually runs behind the PC version on updates.
Current console versions of Diablo3 aren't the same as PC and there are markedly different aspects. I don't see that interacting.
This should probably be posted up on the Off Topic page and get the whole community looking at it. Or bring them here?
I think that, INITIALLY, we will only be able to play games that we own on Xbone through the app on our PC. For example: I will log into my Xbone through my PC to play a game. As opposed to playing the PC version of my game with other people who are on their Xbone versions. Know what I mean. Seems lame at first but it may open the door for further expansion. Besides, he mentions the phrase "first party portfolio" when he starts the demo showing cross platform compatability. So, at first, only a few select games will be cross platform. I think. But, it's a start.
The question I have is this: will I be able to run the game using any controller I want or am I limited to the xbox one controller while on the PC? I won't get my hopes up about triple screens. It's way too niche.

What did you tweak? Are you using a Thrustmaster TX by any chance?
Ths one is a bit long. Just watch the first few laps. These AI are amazing!

I pre ordered yesterday at GameStop. Also standing in line heard a blurb about pcars on the in-store tv. getting excited.
Looking foward to racing with all of you again.
Big
So glad to see you pre-ordered. Hope to see all of you in pCars, eventually.
Nice! Looking forward to racing with you again.

Here is a nice video by Yorkie65. In this video he shows us the Motec display. It's a nice touch to the game. Enjoy:

do you run the AI at full bore snappy ?

Can you adjust the number on your car somehow?

I might have asked you before but are you going with the Xbox version or you staying on PC??
I will have both.
I suspect that this title may end up being cross platform compatible. It's just a small suspicion I have about where gaming is going, in general.
Yes. This is wanted and needed. Matter of time I reckon.

OOOOO that looks impressive, I cant wait for this to arrive on Xbox, my laptop would never cope with this

Did one of those.
