I didn't read the original thread close enough.. Here I was thinking we were doing 25 laps at LeMans... That's 3 hours, I don't know anyone with that kind of time.. LOL An hour at Sebring I think I can manage sometime over the next 4 days..

I have done a 20 lapper at LeMans. But that was back in my GT4 days. Against the AI and you could pause the game and come back. No way would I do a 3 hour one. At my age I go to the bathroom 10 mins before I think I need too.
RaddoHuey, Just pm me your times like everyone else. You can post it but the pm allows me to see all times in one place without scrolling through the whole thread. Which if this series catches on could be rather long. And put the replay up on SF so when I do a seach they all come up for verification, if needed.

25 laps less than 1 hour 40 min., should be anyway, and that's a guess, I'd have to look. Of course, that's if no one gets in your way...

I ran a couple laps last night in each car both with identical settings, and I don't know if it was because I was 'cold' in the 'Vette or what, but I consistently had faster times in the Aston Martin. I may have to try with cars in the reverse order to see if it was me or what, but I figure with an average lap of 2:15.xxx, that's less than an hour to run. I should Hopefully be able to knock my race out on Saturday. :)

I was addressing 25 laps at Le Mans buddy...And guessing roughly at 25 laps= 100 or so minute race. Again, I'd have to look at my times but that has to be fairly close.

Demonhellcat, That's why I'm doing this series. Many of us don't have the right kind of hours to run in the mainstream races. Kids, job etc. We can compete against each other and have fun. I will try to give you a choice of cars if possible each month. I chose the Vette because the AM engine reminded me of a dentist drill. Main thread updated to answer a question by ZiggyProline. You are not required to run in all the races. Run one or run them all. You could even run just the TT's or just the races. Nothing would make me happier than if I was finishing out of the top 10 places and just got 10 points for running myself. The more the merrier.
Zedarchitect, pm me at this clan site. But I will check my XBOX messages too.
I just finished and sent you a PM. The replay is up on my storefront.
EDIT - Just wanted to add that this series is a great idea. Especially for those of us with (maybe just me) with two children under 2 (20 months and 3 months). Trying to make a specific time can be difficult. Anyways, the race was fun, it took me about 8 laps to get to 2nd and then a couple more to get around my Corvette teammate.
I only had three incidents, damaged both side panels a little trying to pass on the outside on the first lap (dumb), then I fell asleep at the wheel and bumped the tire wall at the underpass all on my own, then one off-road excusion while in 1st with no collision. I ended up with 17% damage to side panels and 4% to transmission (1 missed shift).
Yeah, The time I had in my head was 8 minutes.. But I had just ran some on the ring the night before.. My best time on LeMans is 4:38.xxx, so that'd be about 2 hours start to finish. Not terrible, but a little long for the time I usually get to play.
I'm out. I don't have the patience to run against AI. Twice I was on the rear of the lead car, about 10 laps in and twice he hit his stupid brakes too hard for no apparent reason and took out my front aero. I quit.

Sorry to see you go. It has happened to me in the past. But that is the challange/frustration of this kind of race. Now I'm much more cautious/aware of the AI. I will just take my lumps and go on to the next race. It's for fun. It probably hurts me in the rooms with the clan but I find the AI on Full Sim preferrable to many of the public room people that I run into (them into me). I try to remember this little saying as I pretend to be a RL driver... My fault, your fault we're both gonna take damage and my sponsors are going to be pissed at me if I do it too much.
:-( that sucks oldschool.. Ai had a tendency to brake check way too much, and for no apparent reason.. I'll post My timehere too, since I generally an the slowest: 57:01.607 good luck to the rest who haven't posted times yet!
Results from Race #1 Sebring up this week with next race info. Points system revised to reflect 2012 scoring. Participation scoring changed from minimum of 10 to 4 points.
Round 2 info up in 2nd post. Results for Sebring up ASAP. I need to correct a mistake on my part.
Seriously, I love the idea of this. You are a certified genius with round 2.
Now, whether I feel that way after running it is an entirely different matter as i supect there may be quite a bit of AI arse hattery and alot of twisted smoking metal. Start you engines, prepare for carnage. Good luck.

Warped is what many here think I am. I did think about a 50 lapper. Then reconsidered it down to 20. I don't want to scare everyone away. Results up in 1st post. And still working on getting the image the right size.
Damn, didn't think I was gonna be that far off the pace... lol Next one should be a challenge, even for the best drivers.. Class E cars on Indy? That spells trouble..

Don't beat yourself up. The more you do it the better you will get. Just enjoy the challenge. I have corrected my oversight with the AI in Rd #1 race. Hopefully everyone will have to contend with the AI for most of the whole race in rd #2. Quasi TT aside. Just keep your eyes peeled for those slow cars. Not so easy at 213mph. I'm gonna try to do it without the track map.
Track for the multilap race after the TT is Indy GP with these cars. Tune away. Just don't change the specs after the upgrades.
And pass this series along to your clan mates. How happy I will be if I have to do a results spreadsheet for 20-30 guys. Remember everyone will get a min of 4 points for running a race or TT. That's 4 points more than inn0c3ntbylaw currently has.
So we cannot tune for this time trial but we will have a race with the same cars on Indy GP after this where we are allowed to tune?
You are correct. Run the TT without tuning and then do what you want as long as the PI stays the same. Actually race should start after the TT deadline and go for another 2 weeks.
Have my TT done. Ran without the track map, no speedometer and in cockpit. Except for a very minor touch on the inside grass on lap 4 and a very close call on lap 19 my run was clean. BL was 43.111. Replay is up on my SF. ALMS2012INDYTT. But I reserve the right to rerun it before the deadline.
Hi It;s coming up as PI996 with that build. However with fronts to 320/30R18 it is 998. Also +191hp. Think that level 2 restriction lift is +181hp and level 3 220hp. Can you clarify please. Might I be missing something? Thanks

A good catch. Went into my garage and looked at both the #89 & #99 FLM09 cars. The #89 has 310/30R18 Fronts, the #99 has 320/30R18 Fronts. The back Tires are both 330/40R18. So I'm guessing as long as they both get you to PI998 you can choose either one you wish. I just made a guess(wrongly) when I bought the #89 that all three cars would be identical. The #99 was won during the 1st 50 levels of play I think. And came loaded. But I may be mistaken. It's been a while. So you can use any of the 3 cars, Just get it to 998. Sorry for my error.
Tell your friends. Tell your mother. Tell others. The more the merrier.
also, you CAN pressure the AI into overcooking a turn and such, I laugh my ass off when it happens.
Deadline is the 8th. Get your pm's to me and then put replays on SF. Also teaser for next round at bottom of main thread.
I'm in. I'll run this tomorrow and let you know where I'm at.

I may give it a go since the game is starting to collect dust. Are we to PM you the time on here on on XBL?
I plan on running this tonight when I get home.. anyone care to join me? will be around 9pm PST.
