Hey Mark

I would love to tune these two for you...Mulsanne Missiles are a specialty of mine but I do not own the Ferrari. are you intending to tune both cars as similar as possible or did you want to equalize the pi and go balls out on both? hit me up later when I'm on XBL and we'll give it a talking over.

I seem to remember that the two cars were pretty equal at S700 on Sarthe.  One had a little better cornering and the other was a bit faster in the straights but the laps (I did) in either one were very close.  It was for a proposed series that never came off before FM4 was released.  Having both cars equal in term is my goal.  As with the Bentley.  It wouldn't matter which car a person drove.  That way you would not have to purchase both.  I can buy the Ferrari and send it to you and then we can put it into the garage for all to use.

The race would consist of 2 3-4 lappers in either the GT40 or the Ferrari and then another in the Bentley only.  Combine the times and then post the results.  Short and sweet.  If LeMans can be considered short.  laugh  With the damage factor thrown in of course.  wink

Ferrari is in your box as I type.

Mark

Glad you're liking them. We try to release tunes that are driver friendly. Meaning, the car should not "punish" the driver for every little mistake. Sometimes, that means the car is "tight and faster" rather than "loose and fastest." That's OK with us to be slightly slower if it means the average drivers--like myself and most of the people in our club--can drive them better in the lobbies rather than just hotlapping to set a LB time.

speed is nice but i rather have grip...i want to maintain my lines without going nuts behind the wheel because i need to throw the wheel from left to right to keep the car on the track. But like is an understatement sofar what i have tried of tunes i also love. wish i could build such tunes myself :D

@jdluxe

I was wrong about the grippy M3 in my SF...it's a 91...not a 97. I can work something up for you but the car will likely be "grippy for a BMW" not an "outgrip a Lotus" build. I'll keep in touch.

Thanks JD

Not everything in my SF is a grippy tune (trucks, muscle cars, Mulsanne Missiles) but I have quite a few. Let me know if you need something particular. I'll work on some grip tunes for your M3s tonight after work.

Ok..Jd your M3 is on my storefront.

Mark, I sent you the Bentley tune and I think I have the vintage S-Class tunes pretty close. I will send those to you for tweaking this afternoon.

Is it okay to send these tunes to participants of the series who are not in our garage?

And ran 2 laps in the Bentley.  3'39.xxx.

Absolutely...ran test laps last night with Trackassassin and Pickle and they seemed very close...GT40 has a tad more top end. Send the tunes to whoever you deem necessary...they're your tunes, amigo.

The tracks are:

Le Mans Sarthe (33 laps)

Nurburgring Norsdschleife (18 Laps)

Motegi Full (50 Laps)

Nurb GP Full (44 Laps)

Camino Extreme (43 Laps)

Laguna Seca (47 Laps)

Sebring Full (46 laps)

Sunset Speedway (35 Laps)

Le Mans Old (41 laps)

Suzuka Full (39 Laps)

Silverstone GP (25 laps)

Road America (44 Laps)

Bernese Festival (40 Laps)

Hey Naked,

I can tune up the M5 for you but you'll need to send a FR if you want it gifted....you will likely need to tweak it to fit your driving style and for the many different tracks. i'll start on it tonight.

@OldModelT...did you want your Ferrari back? it sure looks good in my garage!

@JD

I tested the tune at Fujimi downhill and saved replay to my storefront...it was a challenge to get it to break loose.

@NakedRescue: Let me get one of the tuners started on the M5. When does the event start? Looking at the track list, you're gonna need at least a couple of tunes.

Thank you, sir!

The event runs June 1 - September 1. The tracks will be run in the order I listed them.

@ oldmodelt, I don't plan on missing the ALMS series but I am pretty excited about this challenge. Even done up an Illinois vanity plate...

I paint most of my cars a solar orange but this color is sexy as hell...

I'm looking for a tune for the Porsche

959, I'd prefer AWD but grippy RWD is cool too if anyone has or wants to build one.

Hey Rex...I plan on tackling the 959 this weekend but tuning that car has proven a long and arduous task in the last 2 games. In the past Forza allowed a front air dam but no adjustable rear spoiler and I finally had to settle on a RWD S-Class build just to keep it on the track...and it was far from competitive. I'll send you the tune when I get it worked out.
