AS long as there's a space open, he's welcome I'm sure.
Would you look at the nerve of this guy, he is allowed to take part and all of a sudden he is running the event. Parcells I think about a 10 second time penalty in each race is in order.
10 seconds to Cotter for stepping up or 10 seconds to Fitzy for being an arsehole?
Zoomer, they aren't dumb mistakes :) Even the fast guys make mistakes, and probably quite a few. Its only that we know how to catch them mostly. You did well though, mostly when i got behind you I could predict your lines and speed pretty easily. This is good for two main reasons, the first being that it is easy to race with you and you'll get involved in less incidents and the other is that your driving was very consistent.
Spend a little bit of time working out what happens in a slide if you push the brakes, or throttle up or even just give it no input at all. Also a little bit of time focusing on your brakes, how late, how hard and the difference between braking hard and then release them suddenly and turn v's that of slowly and turn. Lastly, practice throttle control, just how far can you push a car on the exit without it spinning. More throttle and less steering, squeeze the throttle on earlier and slower is usually faster :)
Remeber, J and I offer a good racing school to help bring you upto speed :)
Thanks for the tips. By the thrid race was finding that smooth was fast. I am able to catch things mostly but just a tad on the late side. I found myself getting distracted often when others are near. I need to work on that and just keep my line and let them worry about how to get by me.
Tell me more about the school please. Love to attend.
By the way could please replace my mirror you took off on the last pass

I keep wing mirrors as a trophy :D
Ah that is some thing I can also work on :) - I'll send you a FR and if we are online at the same time we can run some stuff :)
Ya good times. Close racing like that is the best. Dos'nt matter what place you finsh as long as the battles are there.
So far spec races like this have been the most fun. There is always a group in the race that is at your skill level to have fun with and battle. everyone did a great job of keeping it clean best they could.
Very fun just to play with adults didn't care what I placed just as long as I have a good time. Great job by Parcells2 hosting the event went very smooth all in all. Also thumbs up to everyone who participated need to do more spec racing in the future Thanks guys!!!
Thanks for showing up everyone, was a lot of fun. Could have been even more fun had Parcells not fucked himself "most times" he got into a good battle but such is life. Special sorry to you Kevin (I think it was you) who I nailed entering turn one on Mugello. I don't think I ruined your race but a complete rookie move on my part that I'm embarrassed about.
Anyways I put the scores through the standard algorythm and it turns out I won the event so congrats Parcells2 on a job...done.
Thanks to parcels for organizing a super fun event!! I had the most awesome time this afternoon! I got to follow some fast guys...for very short periods of time...lol...and learned a lot about where I was losing time on every track. That education is invaluable! Also want to thank you all for making it very comfortable for someone like me, novice, to race with much more experienced drivers!
Feedback is positive enough to make this a monthly (thereabouts) event. Probably schedule something into the same time frame on a Saturday. Ultimately Parcells has to like the car and tracks (will always be stock no tunes) but feel free to offer your suggestions and I’ll give it the consideration it deserves. Maybe 5 tracks to get it in within 1.5 hours?
To set your expectations just a bit I can promise you Porches or muscle cars will not be chosen nor will tracks without right turns.
What does everyone think about reverse lobby points starting grid? On the one hand I think it makes it more interesting for everyone but on the same token it does lend itself to more race incidents if the faster guys plow through quickly…not saying that was or is the case but I’ll gladly go with the majority on this one.
I’m dead set against turning off the damage completely because that will just encourage more unfounded bravery.
Stay with the exige, longer racers and reverse grid and what ever tracks you choose.
I'm not sure why there is a difficulty with people in the first turn, sure there are a lot of cars but you just need to pick a space and stay in it.
Be prepared to brake! If you rearend some one then its more than likely you at fault - so give yourself some space, watch all the cars infront of you and you'll get through quicker :)
I'm up for it as far as grid position that's up to the host no passing till after first corner is a great idea Rustybelly55 came up with. For a car how about a BMW M3 A class?
I think people have to learn that you cant go into the first turn expect to take 15 places, Take each gap as it comes but be prepared for the guy infront of you to stop due to an accident. Keep your car tight or on the outside, "holding you line" just doesn't work, it never will. In racing your lines have to change according to the circumstance :)
First corner racing is part of racing. Driver breifing before race might help. Caugions are used for incedents. Dont like rolling starts. Rolling starts are forleft turn tracks
We don't need to make this into a league race were all out to have fun right? . If we can't come to agreement on this matter just go back to the way it was people need to speak up if they are involved in a accident. That is what cautions are used for I thought?.
10 seconds to Cotter for stepping up or 10 seconds to Fitzy for being an arsehole?
I'll announce my decision come race time.
That sounds right. You can bring bells Cotter if you bring enough for everyone.
Kiss Ass
Sorry I was a no show guys. I over slept.
(Just for clarification I'm not a lazy bum. Work night shift 6pm-6am CST.)
no worries bro. Although you did miss an epic racing session.
Brilliant fun, thanks to all those that come out racing :)
Sorry about the ballsy overtakes you saw :D
Great racing guys, had alot of fun. Sorry about the wheel dying, but atleast I didn't take any one out with me.
High point for me was overtaking Lawyer on the last lap of Mugello and on last corner..Sweeet!
Old rusty and I seemed to pair up a few times trading positions back and fourth..fun, fun, fun. Lawyer too for that matter
Now if I could only stop making dumb mistakes.......practice I guess

Excellent race guys. Had lots of fun. Enjoyed the battles with Zoomer, Surf and Helios, that was good fun!

Bring on the next event!!! :)
Great fun today guys. Had a lot of battles w/ a bunch of different people.
Sorry for the shunt in the last race Fitzy. I couldn't see through the smoke.
Great fun Parcells !!!! Had some great racing in all the races. Great choice with the Lotus also. Most fun I've had in awhile.
Thanks for putting this on!!!!

I think a good idea is to treat starts as we do cautions. NO PASSING UNTIL THE FIRST CORNER!!!!!! Just my 2cents.
Either this or a rolling start would eliminate most issues with the starts.

Annd, I'm pretty good at grabbing one or two positions on the holeshot before the first turn.
