For those in the U.S. waiting for the XBone limited edition, you can now pre-prder the digital version from the Microsoft store from the link on this page:
It includes the modified pack (3 cars available from game stop or
Best buy pre-order) and the 10 limited edition cars for the $59.99 price.
I suppose that's the perk they give you in lieu of not getting the physical CDs.
I just placed my order there and cancelled my Best Buy pre-order.
Ciletti, that looks european, what about U.S. players?
No, start at the top of the page and look for the green "digital edition" cover. Right below it is the "pre-order on Xbox one" link which will take you to the Microsoft store.
Comes up 49.99 in euro's, doesn't have my card info, and I don't live in the 5 provinces in europe it lists, especially Wales...
TV camera of a MP race in the GT3 cars at Watkins Glen. Brings back memories of the Forza 4 days with you guys. I qualified 5th. There were a couple of racing incidents but I kept it clean and finished 2nd. One of the other RUF drivers loses it in the tight uphill left hander but everyone gets by. The 1st and 2nd place guys ( the Audi R8 and the Z4) had an incident going through the essess on lap two. I guess the 2nd place guys felt responsible so he slows down on the straight right before the chicane. A couple of us just narrowly avoid him. Only thing missing was the playfull banter and laughing. I see some good times ahead. On board video of this same race is next. Enjoy.
I received some good news today from the better half. I have been given the green light to purchase the Clubsport V2 wheel base with the new multi system compatible wheel. Will place the order in a couple months once the funds are available and they will look to get the xbone sometime around xmas. so even though Im a good 6 months away, I hope to be on both systems prior to xmas
...do the ClubSport pedals connect through the wheel for use with the Xbone?
Yes...the base not the wheel per-se but the pedals certainly work on both platforms.
Okay, yeah, that's what I thought because that was how my V1 CSPs and GT2 wheel worked with the X360. Good to hear that. I have to say that I have the Thrustmaster TX racing wheel (with the F1 add on rim) and the Fanatec CSP V2s. The game feels awesome so I am confident that the Fanatec wheels will work really well with pCars. What I can't comment on is the gamepad support and how good the game works with it. I will try and look up some reviews or videos about it. Just a couple more weeks.
what about the tuning side snapp, any quick pionters so we dont all die right away
Tuning is quite in depth. I haven't tinkered too much but I will make a video showing you the menu options. Some of the tuning options on the PC are actually made to address the FFB. I am pretty sure that those will make it to the console as well. Give me a day or two to get that video made and posted.
Tuning Menu. If I skipped by something too fast just pause and read the in game explanations. I am not sure if every option will make it into the console versions but I would be very surprised if they did not. Enjoy!
Is it fair to say if you are not a tuner you are SOL???
No, I don't think so. The base tunes are a pretty good starting point. Also, as a group we will surely be able to help each other out. Basic stuff like aero and diff settings aren't too complicated. Also, we can run some spec car series with a base tune.

Wheels, the interface for tuning is more user friendly than it seems. If you could do some basic tuning in GT6 you should be fine here. The cars in PCars give you a bit more feedback than the ones in GT so that might take some getting used to but you'll be good. If I remember correctly you were pretty fast in GT6. At least I remember you to be fast before I stopped participating. I liked Gt6 but I got a Thrustmaster TX and my work schedule changed as well.
Do you remember the Mazda series I ran in GT6? A series like that with limited tuning (minimum aero settings, for example) is probably a good starting point for a league race. Then, as people experiment and get comfortable they can share their knowledge and things can open up.

Parcells... After you ridiculed me like a red-headed step-child and accused me of buffoonery posting about Snappy I had no choice but show how your perceptions were wrong...I just had to show some Love for the Snappy. Always enjoyed and participated in Snappy's Races..I Hated he left us on Thursday Nights but understand his circumstances. Ragging on Buds or Racing Buds (Even Though I Don't Know Him Personally) is part of life....At least in this part of the woods...Delaware...USA!

The base tunes in pcars are quit good and very manageable, most I ever change is fuel and compounds asides from that maybe a small tweak to arbs to fit my style. Being all spec cars with no add on parts like gt/forza tuning doesn't make a massive difference like it did in those games, you'll also feel the effects much more so you won't be able to do any ridiculous DirtT tunes like I did in fm4 lol
I honestly haven't even played with the tuning all that much as I find learning your lines and race craft far more important when trying to knock off secs :)
okay, that's a different link, and it worked just fine. Thanks! I'm preordered.

Good to see Fanatec wheels are compatible now. Just on question though...do the ClubSport pedals connect through the wheel for use with the Xbone?

Yes you connect pedals, shifter directly to the wheel . When playing on Xbox One or PS3 and 4.

Hey Snappy. I sent you a PM (I think)...

Snappy The Man!!!
Here are some of the problems I think we may encounter as a group:
1. We won't all be on the same platform. This will obviously impact the number of race participants.
2. People on the same platforms may be in different time zones and have different RL schedules.
3. Different racing interests - long races vs short races, open wheel or GT cars, etc.
4. Full damage or no damage - this has always been a bone of contention here.
5. Tire wear? Will folks be open to dealing with this?
6. Weather - specifically RAIN. The loss of grip and the challenge it presents is really something to deal with. Especially if full damage is on.
7. Sub forum - we are gonna need one - soon.
Sorry, don't mean to be the Debbie Downer. :-)
1.well they should all bloody well get an an xbone
2. weekend early eveing uk time works best usually for the EST anyway
3. im sure we will get into all the racing over time as we buid numbers again
4. as long as there is Full repair in the pits series should ALWAYS be full sim
5. see number 4
6. really looking forward to it
7. yes
