Hopefully power will be back on soon. I got my Titan to level 5 which helped me level up a bit. The spare ammo from grinding got my Warlock up to 374/375 depending on which weapons I use in the loadout. Hoping to get the Warlock to level 3 today in IB. Have to win a game or 2 to do that I think.
I found with the 2nd & 3rd string, that I basically just had to play matches and get the bounties done. Quite often by the time I finished the bounties, I had won a couple of matches and was rank 5.
I really do like how they have changed the rep system for 2nd and 3rd characters. I also like that I don't need to worry about what class item, emblem or shader you are wearing, just play, get bounties and rank up.
Nightfall loot is like it has always been. Hit or miss. Sometimes you get something useful like a higher light exotic, legendary or a ghost, sometimes you get an eververse item (like a sparrow toolkit) and sometimes you get a few 3oCs. Twelve if you are lucky!

Ran a NF last eve with two bubble Titans (a 385 & 379). I needed a void shotgun to keep the shielded Minotaurs at bay inside the blind bubble, and a Truth rocket for ads & boss. Partner used a sniper for the boss. We pretty much kept a bubble up the whole endfight. Was fun, but rewards were meh...
Best way to rank up? Use a 3oC for every named boss that takes one and every crucible game you play- to get an exotic engram. Save all your exotic engrams till you hit 365-370, and only open them with your highest light level character. Save any skeleton keys till you hit 365-370. Use a Vanguard or crucible rep booster. Wear an exotic class item to rank up your faction faster. Drops from exotic engrams, faction packages and Vanguard/Crucible packages drop up to 4 above your current light level (till you hit 385), so always put your best stuff on when opening the package. Use a ghost that gives you extra mats when looting engrams on Mars, Cosmo, Venus, Dreadnaught and the moon. Use the mats to buy faction rep (rotates on a weekly basis with each faction). I got to 385 doing IB, some crucible and 320/350 strikes.
:) Must punch all the things! I haven't tried the thagomizers yet. I hate to say it, the spikes on them are not to my liking. But I do enjoy the striker class, so may have to really try them out.
Had a great time using striker last night on Archon forge bosses. Dome opens just enough you can drop in, release super, good times.
Can any of you Crucible-frequenters tell me if Mayhem has had an appearance since RoI launched? If so, when and where does it pop up? I assume it's a daily?
Dunno if anyone is interested, but if anyone doesn't have a Trespasser yet, Xur is selling it. It also looks like he is NOT selling a legacy engram this week. But instead it looks like it is just a normal gauntlet engram.
Rumor has it that the level cap will go up next week, so those exotic engrams would have a chance to decode at levels over 385 (depending on your current level of course).
I've burned through my engram hoard so will probably buy a few of these and remember to run those 3oCs.

That's some good news. Hitting Forge on Tue/Wed to complete Shiro and the Artifacts quests w/Shiro Forge Bounties has been fun and fruitful for me. Catching a room of 5 or 6 guardians recycling offerings is exciting and fast. The bump in legendary ll and add ghosts/artifacts to the forge mix will make leveling to 385 go super quick.
This means we should hold on to decrypted legendary engrams, correct?

I ended up running Eris bounties on all three characters and running the Court yesterday. Kagoor can be such an easy boss with a sleeper, or even better a raze-lighter. I managed to get 4 Eris rep packages across them. My loot from yesterday, 3- 384 class items and 1-385 class item with low stats. I had words with Eris for that. Deleted her class items in front of her and left.
Instead of CoO, I'll be visiting the Forge on Tuesday. At least some of the class items it gives are better looking.
Side note, I saw somewhere that the Crota raid/strike, gives rep too. I never noticed when we ran it what it gave, was always just looking for loot :). Anyone know? Could give us a reason to have a little fun on the moon again.

I am decoding exotic engrams at 386 now.
I've got some 387 guns and gear, but I saw the curve mostly plateau at 385. The last few exotics I decoded dropped at 384.
