Will see how many show up for the race if we have less than 5  I think it would be best to push it back to next sat...I believe it's a long weekend for the yanks and I feel like a bag of shit again with some stuff to do today as well so will make a call at race time :)

Yeah expected you to say that, fine by me to make the call later, see how many dropins we get, given it's a long weekend stateside it could go either way.

Will be OK to race tonight..     .. JUST.

Have been shipped back into the mancave cheeky and have only just set up this very second.

However if a loud bang and a whole ton of swearing is heard tonight followed by my car losing control, it 's only my makeshift car seat extension failing lol.

Look guys if you really need an extra 2 weeks to get to the 1:13's you don't have to make lame excuses like camping and work.

Heh, Mr I'm carrying no weight Tartan. Low 15's is the very best I can manage with 45kg on board maybe a 14 on low fuel. That long straight just kills me. But with Church back with no weight you going to have a fight on your hands.

So for fun I fired up race 07 and the sr2000 mod running at snetterton.  I did a quick race agains the AI and i was able to put down a 1:13.197.

I have to say that rfactor has a better feel to it, but not light years better. The grip in the sr2000 mod was better but I think the handling in rfactor was more realistic.  The car in the sr2000 mod was extremely sticky and I felt that the car should have lost grip more than it was.

Anyway just something I was messing around with just because I hadn't fired up race 07 since switching to rfactor. I still enjoy race 07 and all the mods I have for it.

You haven't driven the audi yet than?  Tires feel like mush and the sound for the tires/revs are terrible I much prefer the touring cars in race 07 but than again I haven't found the magical wheel setting that everyone raves about in rfactor :)

Unless someone wants to take over the series during august I think its best to postpone the second half till sept......I noticed no one even dropped into the server today.  Nice weather personal plans and little to no notice for attendance are my main reasons for postponing

Ach I got home late from dropping my dad off. Might be a good idea with the September restart.

Yeah I am out for next saturday, and at least two further in august, this time of year is tough for making regular Saturdays as I can get weekend work dropping at the last minuit.

Apologies for being so quiet the last month or so,

I've just been really busy on Saturday's the past few weeks with weddings, parties, etc.

September restart may be a good idea.

Hello guys as for me , is the same lots of things going on in summer time with events and holidays .

I have to say also that i have a problem with rFactor , even with the standard rFactor , if i start rFactor up it is all oke

but when i drive for about half a lap pc shuts down and restart ? this happends only with rFactor , because i also drive race07

GTR EVO and there i have no problem .

i  drive rFactor in a league with a SimSyncPRO updater and that runs oke ?  what could be the problem ?

Unfortunately I'm not that computer savy.  I'm typically not much good for help/troubleshooting unless it's an issue that I've run into before.

Did you install any drivers before the issues started?  Sometimes rF can be a little finicky when it comes to video drivers.

It's very hard to say, it is obviously a system specific issue because the software is mature and runs fine for most people. I use the same OS, the same Graphics card, and even the same Power supply....Under normal circumstances I would suspect overheating, but this seems unlikely given it is only rf1 that has the problem.

The fact the entire system shuts down shows it is not just rF1 crashing, the entire OS is falling over and that possibly points to a memory issue.

I take it you are using the 4gb memory patch?

Anti ailliasing.....think it was either level 6 or 8 that was causing the issue

I never had that issue with AA I think it may have been a driver issue in the past. But I don't use the in game AA anymore, its set by the Nvidia contol panel. The 4gb patch may help, you'll find it here http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
