Well, you have to realize it is a console, not a PC. Of course they are only going t o support popular mice which only have three buttons and a scroll wheel. it's not like they can put a gaming mouse driver on there. I had no problemw iwth the keyboard and mouse controls and I was using an old crappy usb keyboard and 2 button mouse. It may not be as customizable as the PC but for what it is it is pretty good.
I have seen the xim3 and I have heard reviews from PC gamers of it that it doesn't feel like a mouse. Plus it is expensive. Part of the problem is games have turn acceleration for the controller so the mouse movement isn't quite right.

There's a $90 version now available too - the XIM EDGE. Doesn't have the LCD screen, but it works with both the Xbox and PS3.
I have had some fun playing it. Sleep and I hooked up for a few rounds. It is alot "twitchier" than I remember it being.
