Fairlady Cup...Last race Suzuka West

Fairlady Cup is to be run over six weekly races.

Race Rules

Non contact racing is to be observed, though paint rubbing is acceptable. There will be two races a night with the second race grid being reverse finish order from the first.

Damage will be set on (not sim)

No warnings but races will be saved in case of incidents...I don't expect any as long as Church keeps his wheels facing down cheeky

Point awarded to the first three places.

Please feel free to run with your own paints with GT and Clan Race Number.

Liveries will be presented to the winners of the classes and cash...well fredits for second (two mill) and third. (one mill) Oldschool has generously donated the paints and he will post them up when sign ups start (if he reads this LOL) he has offered three paints so one will be awarded for 1st overall of both classes and one to the most entertaining driver, be that the most dramatic crash (church is of course favorite here) or the best banter, or even the most hopeless. The community will vote at the end for the most deserving of the prestigious Numpty of the series Award and that driver will receive the final paint. Many thanks to Oldschool for the paints.

The Car will run with tunes as supplied by PTR Paparazzi each track will have a custom tune. The tunes are all available on the PTR paparazzi Storefront. Many thanks to Pap for all his help and support.

ResultsThe sign up sheet is now the resut sheet, it aint big and it aint clever but it will do Here

Seed times to be run on Maple Valley Reverse, they are to run done during any five lap stint and replays to be avaliable on your storefront.

These races will run Tuesdays  21:00 GMT. Starting May 8th at Maple Vally reverse.

Tracks for the series

Maple Vally Reverse

Mugello Club

Catalunya National.

Iberian Full Reverse

Sedona Club Reverse,

Suzuka West

This choice give three easy, three middling and three harder tracks. They run EMHEMH. Between them we have every kind of corner from tight hairpins to sweeping curves, plus corners that need to be strung together.

Thanks mate, and thanks Tourni we'll see if the idea floats, I did expect a little more interest but maybe it just gone under peoples radar. I have also noticed that it tends to be the same faces turning up for all the series...Come on you more reticent drivers, jump in and give it a go. smiley

I love series like this, but I also hate racing with a handicap! so for that reason, "I'm out"

Well that is a shame as the idea is to keep the racing close not to have the fast drivers just walk away from the newer drivers. But there you go if close racing is not your thing, nowt I can docheeky Why not run a seed time when I decide on the track and see? you may not get handicapped.

Knight, KIWI is just one of those guys that are way fast, so yes, he would fall into the handicap. I'd love to participate since I was thinking of starting a series with these cars but Saturdays are difficult, especially before 10 PM Eastern. Good luck w/ it.

Yeah I think the biggest roadblock is that it's on a Saturday.  For some reason people (not me) seem to have things to do on Saturday.  For me, that's a day my wife works so it's a total game day :-)

Also the number of people playing has dropped to dangerously low levels.  When the new version of Forza is released there's a  huge influx of members to the club, but quite quickly they all seem to drop off.  Unfortunately this time a lot of the regulars from the last couple versions  have also dropped out.  This hit's hard.  So many of the fast guys that used to run with us aren't around anymore.

Other new guys aren't as passionate about the racing either.  They get out there and realize how far back they are, and just give up.  There is no quick way to become fast.  You can get guidance to speed the process up, but ultimately you need the seat time to work on muscle memory.

Just continue to push forward and we should end up with a room to race in.  You'll get interest at the last minute as well.

Ah well I will leave it open for a few more days and if take up stays low I will look at another day...though that will mean giving something else up...But I want to do this so I'll find a waysmiley

Knight, I would definitely like to take part in this series and can make most nights of the week, Tuesdays and Saturdays included.

My issue is that I don't get "TV rights" until about 9:45pm UK time, so am rarely able to get online before this time. If it just so happens you end up starting the races at around this time or a bit later then please count me in.

It would be a later start on a Tuesday as I have taxi duties for my nearest and dearest...So despite the fact I hate you for turning up in the STCC and wiping  the floor with the rest of the privateers It looks good for yousmiley As long as it suits the other interested parties I will suggest 22.00 Tuesdays and see if that floats.

I am looking for another series to race in and would be happy to take a bit of a handicap, but Tuesdays would have to be every other week. Might be time for a slick Euro club recruitment drive?
