I asked myself wether someone has a little time to make a vid of the best battles, overtaking manouvers and examples of the discussed issues.
@Andrew404: "At work right now and can think of nothing else but getting home and tuning my car for next weekend." That is a clear sign of a bad, bad virus. It is called 2O4F-FM4-virus. I am also infected. For nearly two years now and it seems that nothing will help. My wife is desperate and my son is laughing at me, but beside of that "IT FEELS GREAT!"

All I can do is post the replay on my SF however in the third race on laps 11, 12 and 13 (first half) were fantastic between Zeratul and myself. So much fun

@Grimm/Zeratul - I hope you know all I was doing was trying to get in on your guys fun right. I thought that was the whole idea that while two guys battle side by side it allows the back marker to catch up, Parcells almost pulled it off LOL
Done a few laps around Atlanta................bst so far 1.28.128...........27's are possible , will try again tonight
How? I have a pbt 1.3xxxxx (too shy to tell the truth). , but I don't worry, because I will miss the race. Any reference times from Hockenheim available?
The cars that got on the podium where Honda Civic, Volvo S60, VW Golf, Audu S4, BMW 135i. Basically with the wide range of drivers and cars I would not be supprised if almost everyone gets a step on the podium this season :)
If anyone is using the BMW 135i and has a tune for Road Atlanta I'd be very grateful if they could send it to me. I've got no idea how to modify my tune track to track (can't say I have any idea how to tune either, I use FMTC). I don't even have an idea how I should change my gearing ratios.

Rd Atlanta is my best track and I'm racing the BMW so if you want I'll send one over.
Short vid of the situation Grim and I discussed. Grim's roofcam, watch how it seems I (civic) completely miss my turn in but in reality I aim for a late apex.
If Grim had been some 20-30ft. closer on the straight leading up to the hairpin I would have been forced to give him the line/turn.
I don't quite see why you would at all need to change your line to let him by you if you entered the turn before him.
I could see if he entered the turn simultaneously and has hit the apex while you were just turning into yours such that your front bumper would hit his side panel then I could see your need to back off. However, if you are ahead entering the corner you have no responsibility to modify your chosen line in the turn.
End of the idea though I'm still a neophyte and I'm not highly versed in this so I'd like to better understand your thinking.

Had I been closer to him going into the corner (even 20-30 feet closer), at the point where he moved in for the late apex (around the 13 second mark in the video) I would have been even with him or clearly inside of him at which point the inside line becomes mine. Had he moved down on me then (like he did in the video), the incident would have been his cause. Thats not to say he would have to give me the position but that he would have to give me room to the inside and battle me down the stratight. As it turns out and shows in the video, I did not have the position on him and it was me that had to make sure I did not make contact on him when I knew he was coming down for the late apex.
The line Zeratul was taking was ideal for his car for corner exit speed but he also was leaving a spot open however he knew I could not get into position so it was a calculated choice to run that line. During the race, there was a couple times where I was closer going into the corner and he held it tight to the inside preventing me from taking my preferred inside line. Had he taken his normal line with me closer, he knew I would get him on the inside and could potential lose the position. Just because you go into the corner first does not mean you cant lose your position. I've seen passes on the outside from a trailing car as well as a pass to the inside.
There was one spot where I was closer, He took the inside line which was not ideal from him and I took the ouside line and was actually able to match him on corner exit side by side. Again, it goes to knowing who you are racing against and the car they are in

If Grim was closer he would have been in the gap (alongside me) I leave at turn entry wich in turn means he will block my late apex i.e. I would not be able to cut back in all the way to the inside cerb, leaving me with a less than ideal exit so he cuold most likely out accelerate me onto the next straight.
In situations like this BOTH parties need to "let eachother live". Do that and you'll have some great battles around here.
I think Parcells just blew a load reading about this awesome racing experience. It was a fantastic question Andrew and answered with brilliance. Seat time and patience provides this level of entertainment, its fucken awesome! To be clear though you really do need to know (in order to trust) who you are battling with to engage in this level of car sex foreplay and it bears repeating...

It was good stuff indeed. The lap you and I battled side by side in the third race was a blast

No worries Parcells and I knew you guys were catching up and that it was going to get real interesting
i found the bmw quicker with just a bit of areo on both, but that will change for rd atlanta

The BMW stands no chance in that case.
Low 1.29's NOT consistently is the best I can manage.
I'm usually pretty good on Rd Atlanta
I have a tune for that car that was running 1.28's pretty regularly. I know you know how to tune but if you want it I can send it over.
I'm starting to think the BMW 1M should have been legal instead of this weinermobile 135i
If you can please. I'm interested to see what's different, I've hit a wall with the speed on the Audi.
@Church: That's great JDRT-teamwork!
will do a few laps @ Hock and report back
Sorted.
Cheers

Welocme!
Thx Zeratul and Grim for the adding some flavour. Man, this sport is awesome!
Prebuilt, I sent you an FR, cheers!

Thank you for the update Church.
1. Would you please update my GT from GRD 4L to GRD 4 3L? There's no Thrill without the 3.
2. Team DBBQ Racing forgot to include my name in their team roster. They have confirmed that I am not a Privateer.
Thank you, in advance.
