[FM4] NASA AIX SERIES THURSDAY NIGHT - [FINISHED]

Ok scrapping that idea then.  

I'm looking forward to this Thursday but week 2 is going to take some tuning and practice on my part.

Appropriately enough NASA will be there on in a few weeks in real life.

There is a NASA event at Gingerman Raceway here in Michigan next month. I'll try and get an idea of AIX participation and if there is any to speek of I'm going to go, drink beer, eat, watch racing and get some pictures. Anyone else who wants to go let me know (I know Drivebye is local not sure of others though)

I haven't been online and racing for a few days so I'll be looking to get some practice in with these at some point tonight if anyone wants to join.

If we get enough guys I want to do some mock cautions and practice re-starts. I want to do this tomorrow night before the race too.

So I found a video of the red Mustang that is pictured on page 1 of this thread.....It is on the dyno, and puts down 818 WHEEL HP!!!!!!!!

So with that info I think I'm going to toss in a "fun run" non points event that uses these cars but a max HP build. So something in the lower to mid R3 range.  This will just be a one off event and It's not everyone's cup of tea but as some know I really like the ridiculous HP cars on small tracks (R1@ Poisitano for example)......I think an R3 750 build on any of these cars would make for a pretty fun time. Just have to remember it's just for fun so when an incident DOES happen don't get too bent out of shape.

Maybe make this a "community pot" type event where competitors put credits in the pot to be taken by the winner similar to how a few of Brnt's Monday night races were.

I think we are going to run 24 laps at Road Atlanta tomorrow night, with the pits opening after lap 11. You must pit but damage is off.

Even at 24 laps the race will not be that long. Lap times are 1:30 or less.

Not sure when you will be available Chief but I'll be on in a couple hrs probably......If the Euro guys are doing the open track night I might do that too. Depends on the track choice.

When the Forza team recorded the sounds of a Nascar engine for FM4 they used an AIX car built by "The Mustang Shop" in Washington state.

That was a pretty good race. Really sorry for getting into you Grim!!!

I need to get more practice running with cars like Max's. Hopefully we don't have such an issue with guys dropping either. Brnt was hauling and I'm not sure I would have caught him. Or if I did we were close enough that I wouldn't have been able to get around.

I'll post the replay for the race on my storefront if anyone wants to watch.

Tonight was a good example. Cautions end on lap 3, but if 1/2 the field gets fucked (at any time during the race) then I'm going to call a caution. If I'm the one calling a caution we will take that caution.
