BTW, it's easily done, but quite challenging to excel at.
The race is started with two side by side in a down hill point to point, cars are required to be in Reverse at ALL TIMES, the clutch held in and simply reving the car will start them rolling downhill.
Two variants are Single car clean only replays, OR two at a time, winner takes all's and clean is tossed out the window...However, I would hope it would remain gentlemanly...
The second version allows for video taping (ala Brnt perhaps) and many many spectators in the event.

Though to be honest, I'm not sure how well it would work with only 1 car on the track. It was a riot w/ half a dozen of us mobbing down the hill.
And 'lo they came, weeving and wobbling, leaning and sliding, down the mountain, two by two...
