Interested in an Italian exotics race series? Now launched - race events sub forum
Awaiting a few more test results, but the cars in question look like they have performed pretty much as expected.
General feedback seems to be positive in that there are majority of drivers who feel at least one of the cars is actively trying to kill them, whilst the other is a much easier drive. A minority (Fitzy) know that the cars are alltrying to kill him through bitter experience
Now looking at race format.
Keep your eyes peeled. I think it will be a really fun little series.
I can be of service. You had me at Guten Tag.
Sehr gut Herr Fitzy. I have you on my friends list so I'll fire them over later.
Gunny - perfect. I'll send you an FR and send the cars when you accept.
Be very happy to for a few more to come forward.
Be keen to have wheel users aswell as controller users.

If you need another newby, I can volunteer my services. Wheel user.
Absolutely. I'll FR you. Are you on the clan tag? Or cotters FL. Should be able to track you down.
Now need another pro like fitzy, and an alien!
I sent you a fr. Thanks.
Parcells will conduct your tests for you if you so desire Poids.
Even though one could do worse every day I wake up thankful I'm not "like" Fitzy. Fitzy beats me more often than I beat him but he starts every race 4 hours ahead of me so it's amazing I ever beat him at all and I think I'm classified as a pro around here (you've all been fooled).
Elite wheel, clubsport pedals, proud driver for team Pistonheads!
Be happy to help . controller
Hey dazjon. What sort of pace? Can't remember racing with you. Forgive my ignorance and possibly my memory ;)
He is a Pro racer, Consistent with very good race craft and track awareness.
Cheers T. High praise
Daz - I'll send an FR tonight and then the cars.
Hallo Herr Poisdly,
will do for you, if you think it is helpfull.
Gruss,
JDANKERT
Thanks JD.
Now just need an Alien.
Poids you could try Cobra I think he qualifies as an Alien.
Jawohl Fitzy! Verstanden! I was going to ask. He is rather fast.
BTW - I admire you're aloof approach to Mr P's post. Very classy.
Parcells, I would be honoured if your time shifted personage(s) would put the requisite laps in.
Send some over chap.
You know you could run this on a Sunday. Say 10:00pm BST?
Now you are reading my mind you naughty chap.
I'll pm you about it when its ready. Looking at 4 Sundays.
Oh, and I'll send the cars!
Nice work :-)
A few notes for the testers.
1. I do not claim to be a tuner, but I use a CSR Elite and CSP's and the builds/tunes I'm sending finally feel right in handling terms. the breakthrough only came today, through tweaking the builds, and yes, the PI values as I send them are correct.
2. The builds are fixed, and will only be changed following your times and comments. That's the point of involving you.
3. The cars will be sent preloaded with the correct tune.
4. Please don't tinker with the tuning at the moment. Just run them as sent.
5. The Ferrari is much twitchier and a more difficult beast.
6. Any assists will be permitted so knock yourselves out. FYI I have been using none in testing.
7. Before running the designated tracks and laps, I would suggest a 4-6 lap warm up on Suzuka full with each car just to get used to them.
8. For the less experienced amongst us, these are RWD with close to 500 hp. Aero is fitted, but set to zero. Expect them to bite.
I'll post the details for the test tracks tomorrow.
Thanks for volunteering.
Ohhhh gunny!!
Cannot wait to drive these :-)
Church, JDankert, Parcells, Fitzy, H2daddy, Dazjon - cars sent
Gunny - FR sent.
Testing details tomorrow.
Cheers fella :-)
Thank you. I will hop on in a few and check things out.
@Poids - do you want us to tweak the tunes to our preference or just run them as-is? It wasn't all that clear in the rules.
Just the gears Paps, just the gears.
Poids certainly got his message across but boy did he ever overdo it with the underlying "dont change my tune" theme. Regardless, Parcells is very immpressed with the attention to detail presented by Mr. Poids but since I could easily argue rules 2 & 3 state not to tweak the tunes and rules 5 & 8 also suggests tweaking is prohibited I just couldn't help myself.
I figured as much, but I gotta be honest Parcells... sometimes I can't tell
Don't tweak the fricking tunes......yet
