Mugello Full - 8 laps in each car. Record fastest lap (clean or dirty - does not matter). Estimate what you averaged in your best 3.
Atlanta Full - repeat the above here.
Le Mans (with chicanes) - 4 laps in each car. Record fastest lap.
PM the results if your shy ;) or post them here.
Happy to hear your curses and observations on these cars.
Thanks for helping
Okay, half the assignment is done. Got home late so will try to finish tomorrow.
Been racing a couple days with F4. Raced briefly with F2 and F3. Used MS wheel with some assists. I only drove the California tonight but did race all three tracks.
Mugello
Best 2:17.707
Avg 2:20
Atlanta
Best 1:39.627
Avg 1:41
LeMans

Avg 4:52
Thoughts:
car is fast. It took a little getting use to trying to come out of the corners. At first, I was a little heavy in the throttle and it did not take much to lose it. After I got use to easing it out of the corners, it became manageable. I really enjoyed driving it especially on LeMans. Opening it up in the straight always was awesome. Getting it up to 170 with all the trees flying by was almost scary.
Hi Poidsly, struggling to get on when others are about at the moment so would love to help out if you still need anyone else to do some testing for you.
I'm happy to drive them in whatever speed category you want to put me in!

LOL geez I wonder what classification... hmm amateur? no that's not it... pro? mmm no
Alien Commander perhaps?
swhite's a top 100 at times, so you put him where you like...an awesome driver and a great test pilot. He put one of my tunes at 78 at one point, and I haven't a clue how he did it!
Church ;) fun eh. At times I despaired of getting the Fezza to feel fun in a going to kill you but youll be smiling way, rather than I'm going to drive like a crappy combine harvester and kill you into the bargain way.
Gizzie, Nunder and Si - be happy to send you the cars. Be on tomorrow night.
I'll make 2 more sets available beyond that and then the official testing slots are full.

Thanks - really looking forward to trying these out now
If you would prefer to just send the tunes over thats fine, I probably have the cars in my garage already and if not, then I'm running out of things to use my credits for anyway and this definitely sounds like a good cause!
Initially I thought you were trying to kill me but after testing the first 2 tracks I was sure that was the case. These bastards are ready to punish you hard for the slightest miscue and that Ferrari is a handful. I enjoyed it, was fun but not looking forward to one of my least favorite tracks. I didn't practise the cars at all and started with the Ferrari and since it took me 4 laps to learn how to drive the beast I ran 10 laps on Mugello with the Ferrari.
well, those cars are fun to drive for me and for real racers they will deliver fast times. Here are my first times :
Ferrari Maserati
Mugello
fastest lap 2.09.587 2.08.363
average 2.11.0xx 2.10.5xx
Atlanta
fastest lap 1.34.835 1.33.228
average 1.35.5xx 1.34.5xx
Le Mans
fastest lap 4.40.135 4.34.645
For me the Maserati was faster, but from driving point I like more the Ferrari. This is very aggressive on the throttle, but breaking is easier, than with the Maserati. The Ferrari is ....aaah....how to say???.... is stiffer, well balanced and hard. The Maserati is at Le Mans very good, but on the other tracks I find him too soft and too "swinging". The Maserati is easier to drive, but I would choose the Ferrari. Also the sound from the Ferrai is more my style.
I will try the Ferrari again. Should I send the cars back to you, Poisdly?
@Poids-- if you need a very average non-Allen to
take one of the remaining sets of tunes, I would
be glad to be a test driver. I am waiting
in the airport to catch my connection home, after
being away for 5 days, so I well be itching to get
back behind the wheel tonight (after the Knicks
polish off the Celtics in the NBA playoffs...) :-)

You must be disappointed.
Very, but still confident that they will move on to the next
round. Nothing has come easy for this team this year, but
they continue to fight through adversity.
ok, just ran the Ferrari at all the tracks, Mugello x8, Atlanta x8, and Le Mans x4.. Here are the results
Ferrari
Mugello Fast lap: 2:06:007 Avg lap: 2:07:876
Atlanta Fast lap: 1:31:541 Avg lap: 1:33:093
Le Mans Fast lap: 4:29:947 Avg lap: 4:31:772
Maseratti
Mugello Fast lap: 2:04:302 Avg: 2:06:725
Atlanta: Fast lap: 1:30:801 Avg: 1:32:204
Le Mans Fast lap: 4:28.221 Avg: 4:30:299
The Ferrari is was fun to drive. Though it is very unforgiving if you push to hard. Very loose around the corners if you aren't careful with throttle control.
The Maseratti was far more forgiving, and easier to really push through the corners. The Ferrari definitely had the speed, and the Maseratti has the handling.
I posted the replays in my storefront if anyone would like to watch my erratic driving.
I was able to be more consistent with the Ferrari. I can see where some might find it more difficult, but it was much easier to get clean lap after clean lap. The Masaratti was a little too pushy for my liking, and I dropped the wheels at corner exit quite a lot more than I would have liked. Before putting in a good lap (for me) on lap 8, my fastest was a 2.02.8xx. With the fast lap on lap 8, the avg of 3 fastest laps was about even, but overall the Masaratti ran a slower race.
Here is what I'd like you to do

If your still looking for someone to run your cars, I'll volunteer to be a guinea pig. Think I already have you in my FL.

You must be disappointed.
You are on! That's the last official cars.
However there are rumours of a special black edition being tested by the stig. Not for mere mortals.....
......some say that he......
Can use bodily fluids as fuel for a car
And that ....
Went in cold on Atlanta and ran 2 x 8 lappers in the Ferrari and then 1 in the Maser:
Ferrari. Maser
Pleased you like them.
and you have just confirmed something I suspected.
Look forward to seeing more results guys. No massive rush.
If you need any other help Poids. Let me know. I know you said the cars are spoken for. But I'm down to try if you decide any others.

Gizzie, Fitzy and Me are going to run the testing tonight if anyone wants to join.
Somenoe else please join in, I don't want to be left alone with those two.
I might make it if you don't mind me sneaking a peak at testing.
What time you thinking gents?
