I was wondering last night if 343 was throwing in the towel. The monthly challenge starting last Friday was "Get 30 wins in MP". Really? I don't need the XP since I'm already maxed, but I finished it last night. Why do you make a monthly challenge that requires someone to win less than 1 game per day, unless you know the average person that plays and needs XP plays once per week or less?

Was it the same monthly two months in a row now, or did I imagine that?

It's always been # of wins, but it has progressively come down. First month was 120, then it was 90, then I think it was 50 for 2 months, and then this month it's 30.

I've been wondering the same thing. Actually, I've been wondering further if maybe they think MM is somewhat of a moneyloser for them and they don't see the point in putting much into it. They're certainly acting that way. If that's the case I think it's a bit short-sighted, because the more they put into MM now the more people will buy H5. I can see Bungie not caring how many people buy H4, but 343 should definitely care how many people buy H5.

I don't think Bungie cares about Halo 4 sales beyond a "oh, neat" perspective. They're probably too busy working on the project they've been working on since around the time of Reach. 343 should probably care about Halo 4 sales and how many people stuck around months afterwards. If they want to sell things long after release, such as Spartan Ops seasons, or additional microtransactions in Halo 5, the long term player is definitely one they want.
Almost want to say the monthly challenges have been the same for the past 4 months, and I'm fairly certain they all have been win-related. It's a shame 343 ditched their 1st Halo game so early. Tells you how they truly felt about it too.
