This Is Why 2O4F Is The BEST CLUB EVER...
So, I'll start with a brief story...
Friday Morning as, I'm getting ready to walk out the door to head down to Atlanta for the Rolex race, I get a text from Ted (aka Desmo Pilot). Most of you probably don't know Ted, because he's been inactive for a while. But he's a true cool guy. Anyway, back to the story. So I get this text from ted asking if I like my new focus etc. etc. & then he asks if I'm still using a MS wheel. To which I replied in the positive. the next text that comes through says I've got some spare parts sitting in my closet that I'd like to get rid of & thought you might be able to do something with them. So I'm like, sure send it on, maybe there will be something in there one of our members can use. Fast forward to this afternoon....Whilst washing & waxing the focus, the mailman arrives with 3 big boxes. I didn't really think much else of it & decided that I'd check the contents later this evening whenI'm not busy. I finally got around to checking out the boxes & on the outside of one is a letter from Ted. Long story short, Ted had a brand new CSR wheel, pedals, & shifter that he'd purchased for his shop, but ended up not using it. Guess who is the proud owner of a Fanatech wheel finally? ME. Guess I'll be building myself a new stand now.

TBh, I was totally dumbfounded. I couldn't belive my good luck & Ted's generosity. God knows I never would have choked up the cash to buy one. Now I've just got to get a stand built. I know what I will be doing this weekend.

I've got a 2013 SE 5 door in Ingot Silver.
I bet for the first few days Cotter will actually be a bit slower with his new Fanatec, just cuz he has been using the wireless wheel for so long and has gotten so used to it. I know it took me a little time to get used to the fanatec over the ms wheel. But the wow factor in the pedals and shifter were amazing and really helped in immersion. One thing I observed tho, although fanatec wheel is better built, more sturdy and stronger ffb motors, the ffb feel of the ms wheel is no slouch and does an incredible job of feeling the cars and controlling them which is pretty much on par with the fanatec wheel but a little different which can make the switch between the two a little longer than you think.

I know, I know. Even minus the new gf, I've been spending a shit load of time playing lately. when inspiration strikes, you have to let it out. Seems I'm playing 3-4 hours a day here lately. I'm even considering trying to start another band.

I agree. I'm in the process of putting together my super expensive setup so that I no longer have to lap dance with the wheel that Soapynuts kindly donated to me last year. Had to put it away for the winter mos because my basement has only indoor/outdoor basic carpeting over a cement floor and just racing in my stocking feet during these cold Chicago winters is not enjoyable. I am lucky to be a part of 2O4F.

I HOPE FM5 HAS IT WHERE U CAN DECAL YOUR WINDOWS, ADD SIDE PIPES TO YOU MUSCLE CAR, BRING IN HOT RODS AND RAT RIDES, ADD YOUR ENGINE HANGING OUT THE HOOD, ROOF SCOOPS, LET YOU CHANGE THE SIZE OF YOU EXHAUST TIPS AND ADD MARBLING EFFECT OR WATER EFFECT TO YOU PAINT.
