Welcome to the GGG Motorsports Tuning Shop for GT6.
If you haven't figured it out yet, I have found a tuning calc for GT6 (GT6 Quick Tune) that I'm trying out and so far I really like the base tune its producing. The bigest think so far me as been the tranny, dampers and camber settings from the calc that was just not setting in for me on my own. Everything else I was pretty close with so I'm pretty happy with the results from the calc
Without knowing tire pressures, optimal power rpm's and other fine details that FM4 provided, Im pretty happy with the results so far. Better than anything I have come up with and much quicker for me to find a base tune to start with. Here is the link to the topic along with instructions at GT Planet - http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gt6-quick-tune.294825/
GGGM Rating Scale
1 - Favorite - Will drive this anytime, anywhere
2 - Good - Just missing that "it" factor
3 - Decent - Still need to work on it a bit more when time permits

Cheers grim will have a look at these!
I will start putting some cars together over the next few weeks and go from there.
Do you have any idea of what it costs to build each of these cars?
Sadly, I don't as I wasn't keep track of the amount spent on parts. That said, for new cars built going forward, I will include car and parts expense.
Thx for these Grim, they will come in handy!
How did I get 454pp for the Honda S2000?
Sorry about that brnt, I had to change it to Stage 2 Weight reduction during the build and didnt update the sheet. If you want to keep your cost down to correct this, you can add 49kg of weight Ballast to the build and it will bring it down to 450.
Again, sorry.
Ok, I think Im done and ready to send to anyone who wants it. In short, Its an excel file that hase multiple tuine/build sheets (Tabs) that when completed, will auto populate a summary page that you can then sort and filter the info to find what you are looking for within your garage. Want to see all your 450PP in RWD configurations? You can quickly filter the into and see which cars have that setup/tune and how they rank in your garage based on your ranking system.
Some of you are asking why the f would you do this? Well, Im a stats geek with a bit of OCD around it and I love to see info. This is a hobby of mine and thought this was a great opportunity for me to cater to my OCD.
Some of you may be asking, why not use Access or some other Database to store this info? Short answer, I'm shitty at creating DB's and havnt got a clue where to start (I may look into it though).
Here is what the file looks like on Google docs. Not as pretty as the excel version but it works and I will add the tunes I already built and keep this full summary page updated with regular updates. - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkjeJ12H53YmdFRDNGZnWGhKeF9pWGptSHlmaVJITkE&usp=sharing
If anyone is interested, Id be more than happy to send you the file (Parcelles, I'll send you the file in the morning).
Thanks
Cool man! Glad you have OCD? Maybe not but I enjoy you being a stat geek!
Three new tunes posted tonight along with some updated tunes. Im having a real hard time with some of the supercars as they all seem overly stiff in comparison to FM4. I think it might be the tracks more than the cars though.
Tunes added.
1991 Mercedes 190E
2003 Volvo S60
2007 BMW M3 Coupe Chrome Line
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Enjoy
Just wondering your thought about how you pick the cars you are tuning? Are they cars that you can use in the single player races? Do you have a list or recommend cars to use for certain series?
Right now, Im just building up my garage of various 450, 500 550 and 600 PP setting cars. Mostly cars I like and to see who they compare against each other in similar tracks to see if there is any correlation between weight vs HP. I just built up 12 more cars in the 500 & 550 PP that Im testing out as we speak.
So far, Im not a fan of FWD cars as they all seem around 2 seconds slower (at Suzuka Full then than the RWD cars in the same PP/Tire groupings. The other thing that is kicking my ass are the Mid Engine cars. All of them want the back end to come around (braking mild accelerations and out of corners.) If I didn't know better i would say the tires on the rear are harder/lower in grip level) than the front tires. In any case, Im holding off on tuning/building any Mid engine cars until I can figure them out.
Im also finding out the "Race Cars" of really stiff (more than I expected) which is taking a bit of work to get those under control (especially on the bumpier tracks
Built and tuned several cars this past week and currently sitting at 20 cars tuned and ready to hit the tracks If anyone is interested in any of the tunes, you can find the build sheets at the following link
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkjeJ12H53YmdFRDNGZnWGhKeF9pWGptSHlmaVJITkE&usp=drive_web#gid=0
See you on the track
Hey guys, sorry but Ive had to take all my tunes down for now as Im making some significant changes, especially in the transmission settings. Problem is with the new forum editor that went into place yesterday, Im not able to post the tuning sheets in the forum anymore and will need to come up with a better solution going forward. Hopefully it will be fixed shortly.
Lol! Really? Your just gonna be retuning the cars you have done already or throwing them out? If your just retuning there probably won't be a significant change in the build or parts bought already eh.
No change in the builds, just the tunes are being adjusted and they will be reposted. In some cases, I have found nearly a second or more in lap times with the updated tune
The S2000 alone shaved .600 seconds at Suzuka!
Beat its ass! Sea Bass!
So after having to do some reformating of the sheets so that they will work woth the forums, I have reposted several tunes. Review the OP for those posted.
Thanks
Awesome work Grim!
I will get some of these built up tonight and have a play!
