Sorry for the delay this morning guys. We need to do a better job of coordinating races between 2Old4Forza and GBR, since several of us do both. There was a GBR F1 race at 8am this morning, that started a little late. I moved my iRacing Sunday morning stuff back 10 minutes to accommodate this series.
Sorry for all the issues guys getting started. Next week we will start right on time so that we dont have anyone drop out because we ran long.
I'll get the results posted shortly. Thanks for coming out
Starting on time in this series should not be a problem because our GBR iRacing stuff always starts and finishes on time. The rFactor stuff almost never starts on time due to technical issues. That was again the case this morning.
Np Parcells. After all the issues trying to get in the room, chat etc it was kind of a kick in the nuts getting taken out first lap of a long race sry if I got pissy about it.
3G's...Just read Snappy's description on what the car should be and I still see HARD tires. When did it change..I know recentlly that rules change every week but when did the use of Racing Soft take effect...If I sound a little miffed, I am , because I heard Burnt go off on 'Po Parcells...........Just BS'ing...My own Fault for not following Snappy's weekly change-ups...You did good for the hosting the first time...Next time...Piece of Cake!!!
P.(arcell)S...Congrats on another win!!!
P.(arcell)S.S....My apology 3G's...I read it 4 paragraphs after it said the car to be built with HARD tires!!!

Great race today fellas. I made a few mistakes and got caught up in others but all in all I love this little car. Think I could have been a little more aggresive in some spots but most of you already have points vested in this series while this was my first race. Think once I learn some the other drivers habits I'll be more succesfull. Really looking forward to next weeks race, good times chaps! Congrats on the win Grim and thanks for hosting.
Always refer to the Opening Post for the recent changes whenever in doubt. This is still a learning curve for most of us and there are bound to be a couple changes as we get out feet wet.
When JOnny spun early on in the race, I thought I was going to be a sitting duck being by myself and knowing a 2 car hook up can be about 1-2 seconds faster if they drafted eachother. Not sure what happend but I know I was having to push really hard to stay up front.
Today's race was just a bundle of frustration from the get go, when I was placed at the back of grid I knew it was gonna be a tough battle, I was slowly picking up places as guys battled it out pulled myself up to 3rd after a couple of laps and was somewhat clear to try gaining on grim and Johnny, than he spun and came back on track in front of a few of us which led to me going off track trying to avoid a big mess dropping me back to 7 th, regained myself and started the climb once again and caught up to Johnny for multiple battles which usually resulted in some paint exchanging :) know I don't know if Johnny was having some lag or if just uses a really sensitive controller but he was zig zagging using up all of the road, scared me going anywhere near him cause we would just end up bashing each other's door lol finally made it by him and saw him spin which gave me some breathing room and a chance to concentrate on 2nd but than my FFb went causing me to lose 2 sec off my pace when I caught him I then realized I wasn't gonna have enough fuel so I let him pass hoping I could draft him for 2 laps to save fuel but didn't want to chance a dnf so pitted last lap and took 4th which I'll take and was a much better performance than my first outing which was a disaster

Sorry for the contacts. I'm really struggling so far with this game and this was my 1st race using the analogue stick. I find it particularly hard under braking and feel like it wants to switch ends on me. During the 2 races in the rocco I felt a bit better but still the same issues. For race 2 I put the controller sensitivity to 0 and found that helped. I haven't worked out yet how to get the car to feel how I like them too.
Sounds like it was an interesting race. How many people raced? Did anyone get dropped?
I'll update the OP with the info for Race 3 later tonight. I'll also be testing late tonight for said race. Anyone can feel free to jump in with me. Thanks for participating.

We ended up having 9 guys at the end, although we had more at the start. Parcells had to bolt mid race, but I don't think he was booted. I was late getting into the room from my rFactor 2 F1 race (which I won by the way ). When I got in, the room froze for me and so I had to exit the game and come back in. From what I could here, brntguy was having some trouble getting in as well.
We should not have any trouble in the future with me and other guys being late due to GBR Sunday morning races. My GBR Sunday morning iRacing events are set in stone, there are no restarts or delays. The sim handles when we start qualifying and the race and so if guys are late, they miss out. I have adjusted the start times to account for this series and give those of us that do both ample time to get over to Snappy's room. I will remind the rFactor 2 Sunday morning admin that we need to start and finish on time due to this series.
I enjoyed the race even though I got last place. I had a nice battle or two with brntguy. He was getting me on the infield, but I was catching him on the oval sections.
Most of you are taking this more serious than me. I don't practice for this series, I generally just build the car during the week and race. I have been doing GT for many years now and so I pretty much know every track. I have raced many of the new to GT tracks in other sims and so they are pretty easy for me to adjust to as well. Keep in mind that if you do a bunch of practice and get wrecked, you probably will be grumpier.
Ahh, I was wondering what happened to you Kurupt. You caught me around lap 20 and I was expecting a nice little battle all the way to the checkers. I couldn't figure out why you suddenly started dropping behind after I passed you back - low gas, that explains it!
Has anybody taken a look at the 4th picture down when Hu Fling Du rear ended me lifted my tires off the track and Flung me into 5 roll-over disaster....I needed Burnt for some Special Commentary????

P.(arcell)S...Why Fling did you Flung Me?????
Are you being serious or joking around? I bump-drafted with you down the front-strech and then we both made it safely into turn-1. IIRC I passed you at the S/F line on the next flap after I got behind Kurupt. You were behind us going through the infield but then some red car was spinning in front of us - Kurput spun trying to dodge the red car, I barely avoided him and kept going, and I think you ran into Kurupt. To the best of my knowledge I didn't send any one spinning or rolling off the track.

Just Joking IC...Just adding some humor into the picture..Had a Great Time and laughing at my own Stupidity..Thanks for the outstanding pictures.
P.(arcell)S. What took you so long to refute that BS??...I was starting to worry!!!

Haha, no worries! I was sitting here thinking - did I seriously make him wreck like that? In the picture it does look like I'm lifting your wheels off the ground - I didn't even notice that at first. But then I thought - how the heck did I miss his car flipping down the track because that would have definitely been picture-worthy!
Lobby is open. Remember to do an oil change if your HP & PP numbers are below PP of 471 with 214 HP.
Got family visiting so not going to make the race. Have a good one guys

Sorry again Brnt for my stupidity on lap one. Big loss of focus on my part and just plain stupid and embarassing.

Rfactor in General is a technical difficulty ;)

Maybe I should look into this thing called practice, could help eh? Lol Wheels, things like HOLY ****,OMG,WTF,NICE,WELL ****ME, usually suffices.
I Really Could of used you Brnt...The Last Roll-Over a F**K Me did slip out of my mouth!!!!
I was totally just showing off in turn 1 (#77) honest!
