@Grimm....any chance you could share with Parcells your best guesstimates on how many liters of fuel is needed to fill your car a quarter of a tank...or half a tank or any ratio whatsoever so I can apply some simple math to guesstimate how much fuel I'll need to take on during my pit stop today?

I promise not to blame you if things go wrong but unfortunately I cannot promise you I wont change my mind so dont screw Parcells over here bud!

The sad part of my request is I forgot to write down the number of liters it took to fill a quarter tank when we ran our practise race the other day else I would never have to ask...stupid Parcells!

Sorry but I really dont know.  During all my testing, for this race, I just filled the tank to max and I dont remember what the value was.  Sorry

NOTE TO EVERYONE:

Tire Compound: Racing Hard

Get an oil change on your car. HP and PP limits will be set.

HP = 214

PP = 471

Make sure to check your cars gearing as well. That can be adjusted in the lobby but you should do it before.

I don't know why I can't join you snappy I haven't have any problem s joining anyone else on ps3. Is there setting that I or you need to address? I've just wasted 3 mins trying to join this i'm so disappointed. Imo issues like this need sorted before anymore racing continues. I did a quick search online and didn't find anything that helps me.

Got booted from room,  unfortunately with a podium insight.  Hopefully we will use this car  in a future race.  Did anyone else experience problems?

Found my problem.  My Daughter was heating her coffee in the Microwave when I got the boot.  I recently moved upstairs because of the larger TV,  this never happened downstairs.  I proved it again when my wife heated up my lunch.  Sucks to have happened during the race,  but happy to know why.  I will have to put a sign on the microwave, "Do not use Racing in progress.

Why would the Microwave affect my PS3 wired ethernet connection,  I can understand it affecting the wireless.  Possibly a electric circuit issue ?

Microwave will affect wireless controller or bluetooth as any interference would be on the 2,4Ghz spectrum.  As you say shouldn't have impacted a wired connection unless PSN drops links once it detects controller or headset issues and can't recover from them.

It was on practice when I first tried to join and after many many times of trying the qualifying started and at that point it said you are unable to join the room at this time and then after that was over it went back to telling me that the room was full. When I 1st tried to join the room was showing to have 11 people in it then it went to 12 and during qualifying I could see people drop out. is this a ps3 gt6 or a host problem? This is the first time I've could not join on a ps3 lobby. .

Not sure what happend Jonny.  I think Brnt was having issues also getting in.

As for the race, GT6 has a really cool feature.  After a race or a practice session, you can run the replay and put it on "Live Timing".  There you can see everyone on the track and there times in each sector on the track.  Whats nice is you can see where you are giving up time on the track.  I was pretty even with Snappy on Sectors 1, 2 and 4 however in sector 3 (once you start your decent thru the bends) I was almost a second+ faster on the field.  Really cool feature to see where you are having issues or losing time.

Snappy....Great Race and educational...First time in a fade away gas and tires race....3G's seemed to walk away from us...Not sure because of the tune he was running or he is just a exceptional racer. Never once did I think about drafting until Parcells stated the reason he caught me so fast on the straights was that he was he was drafting...With all the NASCAR racing I have done with drafting you would think a light bulb would of gone off...What a Dumb Ass...Maybe if  "The" Snappy would had said something we could of POSSIBLY caught up with 3G's teaming up...I pitted on lap 10...Way to soon.Tires were crap on last lap...Rear End Broke on last corner before Straightaway.....Should of waited to 14-15 but at the time the tires were fading and I was in the learning mode. And I did!! Really surprised myself on no assists but #1 ABS...Worked Great thanks to Parcells tip...Sincere Thanks...wink

P.(arcell)S....What I found out was that running a hot lap out of the garage...The times were not even close to the online running...Something just felt off...Almost like a govenor was on the car....Issues with the Sound in the Car...Had to reboot to get it back...Also had to reboot to get any chat sound also...WHATTTTTTT???surprise

P.(arcell)S...Great Save towards the end...laugh

Had to be the tune (the one I posted).  The car was just a blast going up and down the hill. Spent a lot of time focusing on that portion.

I noticed that you were staying just out of the draft but didnt think much of it because I was trying to sta focused. We might have been able to catch Grim early in the race if we had teamed up. Something to remember for the next race.

Well, all in all a great race. What would have made it fantastic was everyone being able to join and not having people get booted.

Maybe it's a NAT type issue like we used to see in FM3 and early in FM4. Going to troll the Internet to see if there is any info out there.

I have a strong connection and rarely have issues like this. It drives me crazy because people took the time to plan and prepare for this race and were left out. Please accept my apology because, as we all know, all this sim racing we do can affect our RL.

That being said, I have to say that this is exactly the type of sim racing I've wanted to do. Battling with others (cleanly), having to consider pit strategy, and environmental factors (time changes, weather, etc.). The opening laps, particularly the start and the run up the hill, was incredible really. You guys all showed some amazing car control. You kept pace and avoided contact. It's just awesome to watch. Wheels and I engage in some great back and forth for a while. We had a bump but it was the type which is expected to happen. All in all, I am excited for the series. Check back soon as I will post the event list soon.

Thanks again, guys.

I wonder if it would have been better to just start a new room when we see a couple people not getting in?  Its possible the room was crap (not stable) from the very beginning

Uhhh... I totally missed this dialogue about the oil changes. When I was following other cars off of corners I felt like I had a load of bricks int the back seat.

Also, when you set up your car offline does that same setup inherit a bunch of under steer online? My lap times in the lobby were over 2-seconds slower than what is a running offline (in arcade mode, doing Time Trial mode.) Not sure if if will make a difference or not but net time I'm going to set my car up while in an online lonbby. Fun race though until I lost the draft with Parcells and Stevie and ended up all alone for the final 8 laps.

I didnt notice any additional understeer but rather just a sowler lap time in the lobby.  Additionally, the car was slower after the pit stop (for me anyways).

After I got booted and re entered I played around in the lobby settings and realized that all the settings snappy allowed for the room were applied to my car traction control +5 stability and something even tho I have all assists turned off so I have hunch these settings being applied were your reason for slower lobby times and only noticed by those who run with assists off normally :)

Each time you get into a new car for the first time, the default setting for TCS is 5.  Its not like forza or anything else that once you set it in game, it will be applied to EVERY car going forward.  Think of these settings as car specific.  However once you set the TCS/ABS on the car, it will remain on that car going forward.  I had TCS off in the race and ABS set to 1

I Honestly Feel Bad for those that got the Daz Boot....That was my NUMBER 1 Hatred with Forza (Still Is)...Practice and Practice to keep up witht the faster guys and low and behold DAZ BOOT...Not once...Not Twice..Not 3 Times but I would say 7 out of 10 and that is NO Lie...I did noticed that when the room got past 10 guys that my motor sounds cut off...Had to totally reboot twice..Once for that and once for chat. Lucky for me I got in just the nick of time. Hopefully next race Gentlemen..Maybe like 3G's stated we can get a back-up room just in case. I wish Grand Turismo had a communcation system like Forza so you can send out invites and answered immediately. Driving with the Fanatec Wheel I have to shut off the wheel and fire up the controller to jump into message mode...Probably because my Dumb Ass just doesn't know any better.surprise
