Hit a wall last night doing a quest, Scalefather, and can't get it done on my own. Too many adds, can't kill the boss fast enough, and the poison AOE's are wrecking me. My lvl 15 cleric ain't cutting it. I do have a lvl 15 dog, I wonder if the increased damage would be enough for me to drop him before the add's get crazy?
If I can see spending on anything it'll be for a high level pet/companion. Have a regular horse and you know what, it might not be the fastest, but it's fast enough.
Maybe another character slot. Still mulling the $59.99 pack though...
Oh, deleted my lvl 12 wizard, I figured if I hadn't played the thing but one day, i really was bored with it.
Briefly considered a dwarf thief, hehe, but made a dwarf GWF. Will probably play this a bit but I can see a dwarf cleric in my future.

I don't remember this quest, but yes, I would look to the level 15 dog to help out - at higher levels, a level 15 companion may just not be effective in any configuration. I know my man-at-arms tank would go down fast in any fight with substantial enemies. If you're using the dog, he is a striker class I believe so he won't be getting an AOE on the adds, but he may be able to take some pressure off to allow you the time to either pop a critical pot or get a couple jabs in on the boss. Just keep plenty of health pots in the hotkeys. Around your level, I would either get lucky by kiting and spamming pots, or bringing in my buddy to help out.
The $59.99 pack will give you access to the wolf companion. Again, another striker, but he is a purple and can be leveled up to 30.
Apparently people figured out a way to use an exploit in the Gateway auction house to make infinite Astral Diamonds... pretty much destroying the in-game economy. Lot of people talking about server wipes or at least a rollback. I like the game but if they wipe my toons I don't think I'd bother playing anymore. Losing a day or two of progress would be rough to, but I could live with that if it fixes things.
ooh, that sucks. Hopefully, they won't wipe and just permaban anyone who performed the exploit. I'd be hella pissed if my main got wiped, like to the point of screw this, I'm going home pissed.
Huh sad people that can't even play a game honestly. Not really far enough in for it to bother me too much Lvl 18 Tank...but it seems Tanks are not really needed at higher levels and are 2nd class citizens of Neverwinter so was thing of starting a toon off in another class anyway. Pain for those that are further on though.

LOL it was a cut and paste from the Neverwinter forum and the best popcorn thread ever, it grows faster than you can read it. Seems tanks are pretty surplus to requirements when it comes to Parties higher up, but as we are likely to just be playing with 2O2P folk mostly it doesn't really effect us, I like to Tank and I'll play that toon all the way. But I will start another toon with a mind to random party drop ins. Probably go for a magic user, bet there is some cool graphical FX to throw around
Started a GWF, and I'm not real impressed. Might make a Cleric, I dunno...
I have a lv 41 GWF. They are painfully slow in the beginning to kill things and you need to chug potions constantly. Getting the Cleric companion at lv 16 helps a lot but the class doesn't really start to shine until upwards of lv 30. Then they start to feel powerful and you can chew through large groups of mobs really fast. I tend to be top dps in dungeons and skirmishes by a large margin. From what I read in the forums though, GFs and GWFs are highly undesired in groups at lv 60, which sucks unless you have a group of freinds to run stuff with.
I almost gave up on my GWF for a TR just because of how much faster and easier leveling was as a rogue but now I actually prefer playing the GWF.
Yeah my toon is a GWF. Not easy to solo with at the moment, good to know it gets better later. Of course at the moment this game is the shiny new toy and getting a lot of play time, but I expect I will probebly settle down to once or twice a week and run with friends on set times
Man, if the posts can be believed some people who exploited the AH and made hundreds of millions of ADs then sold those ADs to gold farming websites for real money. One guy was bragging on reddit that he made over $7k and then only received a 72 hour ban for exploiting. That's insane. And this exploit has been around and known about since closed beta.
I'm very concerned. I don't want a full rollback because that would mean my level 60 was all for naught. However, I have completely lost faith in the economy. If I try to buy something on the AH, my suspicion will always be that I'm paying more legitimately aquired AD's because of the exploit. In effect, the people who didn't exploit now have to pay a premium of x% to account for the inflation brought on by the exploit.
Part of me is saying "quit the game" and part is saying "right then, carry on".

As I get by with what I collect, at the moment I am not too fussed, I survived the roll back because being in the euronzone I was in bed when the shite hit the fan. Never had much faith in the AH (Auction House) in other MMO's either so always manged without them, Found a lot of folk willing to gift decent stuff and I used to do the same. I guess it is maybe more of an issue for folk that excusivly solo
Holy crap that roll back sucked! I had to do Mad Dragon again, I lost about 3-4 pieces of upgraded gear and my celestial coins. I guess it wasn't too bad but I notice a huge difference on my power & crits.
My defence is still good but killing off the minion adds with one swipe is better than the extra def. ><
The client kept crashing last night. It got so bad I couldn't play.

Celestial coins are lost if you don't log in and "pray" within 24 hrs of the last time you did...read the fine print.
I lost nothing. The Banhammer Gift pack's are nice though!
