So there is a sim god and he decided to fix the game while i was sleeping and allow it to load
Another trick i read and tried that seems to help the loading times if there slow for you.....is copy your old race 07 folder and save it to a back up folder with all your mods etc. than delete that folder and any other old race 07 prior to the update....steam/steamapps/yourname/race07........saved me about 5 mins in loading times
now to start applying some of my graphic mods and hope they work
No mate, we so far tend to use race2play for race07, the main go to sim for most of us is rfactor and GBR has servers up for the series we run there. I see you posted in the application section over at GBR and I cannot recommend highly enough that you take the plunge to rF1 and run with those guys, no better crew and predominantly stateside so plenty happening in your time zone.
2o2race is a very new concept here and we are still finding our feet, but in the not to distant future we will be hosting some races both at race2play and hopefully at GBR.
Paradox and his friend totalownership are working on setting up a dedicated server for us and were looking to put together a series of some sort shortly :) in the meantime just look for guys from DirtT tuned and send them an invite....paradox runs a nightly room mon -Fri around 7pm est till whenever look for a room called wheelracers...iam usually on during the days or later at night and if I have a room its called Dirtt tuned racing.

Race2play is free but priority goes to paying members for signups and if u wanna run with a team.

I tried to fund your room the other day and couldn't....will try again tonight if my interwebs will allow, that is right on the edge of when it all starts to slow down, fingers crosseed because I don't get to race online near enough....are you doing that via the R2P survers?
That will be a long wait, and even then it will be a gradual process, as the mods we will be waiting for will take even longer to appear, be a shame to miss out on a lot of good racing in the mean time...still, it's up to you

You can run a room on their servers, but you have to pay a couple of dollers, you start the process from, your dashboard, top right icon. Then it leads you through the process of selecting sim, car, track etc, just a matter if clicking on what you want from the selection offered and R2P take care of the rest.
Just gone a way through the process and they wont let you schedule on the day, Friday is the earliest,,,no option for closed practice events unless I think you create a league.
I ran with some guys from reddit but they no longer race. It was great because the main guy that ran race 07 was from Australia living in Japan. We would run Saturday morning (sunday night for him) and just do a few races in the radicals. I would really like to meet up with you guys once a week.
The GBR guys do the same for us few Euro types in the club, they race Sunday mornings, (early Sunday evening for me) We could maybe do the same on a Saturday? Are you registered with race2play? I could set up a 2o2Race league there and run races through their servers...better chance of us ensuring a connection.
Right then I'll try to drum up some interest, good thing about R2P is we can use just about any sim so maybe some rF2 will be on the cards I have to get some funds into the bank so we will go for Sat 15th for the first 2o2Race event
after watching a few races from GBR i found out that race 07 had that mod and i just had to have it. i really like that mod but i cant drive those cars for shit. I take corners way to fast and lose the backend, but they are fun.
Hmm not a great V8 fan, but then I hated porsches until I tried the rF1 ones, so I'll give that a try.. Just downloaded the Croft circuit from Race2Play...real nice with some serious elevation changes, would be a great one for the vintage mod cars.
Bathhurst is mental, one hell of a tough track that I haven't got around once without crashing LOL, not really given it serious time as I tend to work just the tracks I'm racing in series and that one hasn't come up yet.
@ Neverender158, As Knight said, We at GBR will switch to rF2, but it may be a while after the release before our main club races go over(Depending on the Mods) So a purchase of rF1 will still get you your monies worth. Up to you.

I have the steam version of race injection but have not raced in a few weeks. You guys are scaring me! I am afraid all my mods and tracks will be gone. I will probably try to run something tonight or this weekend, fingers crossed.
Won't ne gone...u will just have to move them to the new folder that is created after the update.....u can always switch to offline mode and it wont update :)
well so far so good. I ran race injection tonight for about an hour and all is working fine. I don't see an update or anything so nothing has changed for me. I am running race injection from steam too.
If iam correct if its a wired controller it should be plug and play....than in game go to control options select ms controller and map your buttons from there.
If its wireless u will need a wireless reciever adaptor...there is a small hassel u will encounter installing it if it doesn't register it at first....ill try to find the find the thread if u need it
I am using the Wireless one. I have it all set up ect the only issue is even though I have changed the sensitivity settings in game its still super sensitive on the steering

Just tried the aussie v8 mod from nogrip racing......pretty awesome, sound feel and graphics are top notch!

It's all about the dead zone. and tweaking speed sensitivity. I still run with a wired controller myself sometimes.
