I love it when this thread is active :D Especially when it's active with stuff that makes me laugh. Awww you guys!
Feeling a bit better today. The Tylenol stuff is working, and I slept a few hours here and there last night. Woohoo *cough*
I think I've heard the word bung used in car engine talk type situations (if Knight read that "sentence", his head exploded). Isn't there a bung in engines? Or am I having fever induced false memories...I did believe hubby was up walking around the house last night when he was, in fact, in bed snoring and all. Saw him walk down the hall, then heard the snoring...it's just the fever and not ghosts, right???? RIGHT???

I watch way too many Asian ghost movies...
Sounds like maybe more of an out of body experience? Did you askhim what HE dreamed last night, hmm?
Oh, umm, never heard bung used in automotive context, unless you're talking about the colorful vernacular of mechanics in general...

My goodness I turn my back for a couple of days and what happens, Parcells and Oldschool have another tiff, Jones is going around telling folk they're not his boss (we all know that is his wife) Kitten gets another dose of bad luck...and Whale Farts and Bung holes. The Good Night thread at it's best :)
Yeah...you've never got the hang of this "Good Morning" " Good Night" thing have you LOL Morning mate,
Because it's a Monday morning...and at work. And fog that will chill you to the bone (which I'm sure you're very familiar with ). So not a whole lot "good" about it other than I'm on the right side of the dirt. Could be worse yes...but it could be better as well.
Eh, it was like 37 degrees this morning...not terribly cold but windy as fuck. The wind has died down now and it's probably somewhere in the high 40s/low 50s. It's going to be a beautiful day but I heard folks farther south might be getting some weather tonight.
Can't get much more oldschool than Mike Hawthorn talking into a microphone that seems to have been attached to him using scaffolding while weaving in and out of bicycles. Filmed several years before I was born you piss taking git!
Just happened to have watched it before seeing you post, seemed fitting...ish
I feel you may be straying from the path grasshoppah...
If your finger is big enough to be the bung for the bung holes I've seen, see a Dr.
Why are you looking at bungholes?
lAST ONE i SAW SAID jACK dANIELS NEXT TO IT.

If you're going to plug a bung in your car, then have some disinfectant wipes handy...your bung plugger will thank you later.
Your not the boss of me.
Your regional dialect is off slightly...now, say it WITH me...
You're not the boss o' me. ( Hmm, maybe mine's off)
Oh, btw, the industry generally calls those "bungs" nipples and bushings. Moroso must feel the need to be creative or something?
Knight, there is no tiff. Don't make more of it than it was.
Kitten needs a few dozen lucky rabbits feet.
Leave my NY accent out of this.
At least I didn't say "A-O, O-A".... Not that any NYrs actually say that but... um yea.
What, all NY'rs drive cabs?
Maybe I should ask "Who's the boss?" (see what I did there?)
A-O O-A?

Okay, to offset the thread crippling posts of the last day or sooo...
Here's a few videos of vintage 30's/40's/50's hot rod's at a hill climb and a festival/car meet(?)
I figure at least Kitten will get a kick out of these, maybe Knight, he's old enough,

Hmm nearly. Only one beard worth talking about, most disappointing. Looked like a fun day though :)
Bungs in automotive context are typically welded inserts with a threaded internal hole, like the recepticle an O2 sensor screws into.

Oh yeah, and morning all!

Here in responce to Oldshool's oldschool Americana, here is some oldschool Euro type stuff to cheer you up http://vimeo.com/59410466#at=3
Now Knight, mine was oldstuff not actual old footage...although that's nice too. Did you film that yourself perhaps?
As for Jones, I guess it's cold in Texas again?
And we weld threaded inserts here as well, they are called machined spuds...you know, by machinists and engineers and that unruly sort. Hooligans.

Almost exactly.
