It was built in Alabama, and most of it was made in the US. I can't remember now which bits were made in South Korea. The warranty is RIDICULOUS! Five years for wheels and tires, and that includes stuff like curbing it, etc. Ten year bumper to bumper, including all electronics. TEN YEARS! That's crazy lol! And if I get service done at the dealer (basic maintenance crap), I get a discount. I also got the Bluelink service, which is like Onstar. SOS button, navigation button (finds gas stations, restaurants, alternate routes if traffic is effed up, etc), auto notifies emergency services if I'm in an accident that deploys airbags, roadside assistance, security stuff galore, service notifications (and the nice lady sets up the appointment for me), monthly vehicle reports, AND it calls hubby if I hit my panic button on the remote and tells him where I am!
Being 10 minutes from Bristol Tennessee can I just add a "Hell Yeah"!
Is it feed a fever or starve a fever BTW? Kit's female, maybe she knows....
Neither, just eat. I find Zinc works well when I start to feel a cold coming on and you need to eat before taking it or it will probably make you more nauseus then need be.
Okay, sooo first full week of the year and I've already had the mother of all colds...usually this stuff never stick to me, I just shrug it off or never get it in the first place. OMG! Oh, and then the wife goes down to Walgreen's to get some cold medicine and they won't sell it to her, ^&%^$#&^$% meth head assholes. Wanted her to get "something" else. You know, I get the issue, but the customer holding the cash is supposed to be the one deciding what works and what doesn't.
I'm so done with everyone deciding they know what's best for me. Really really done with it.
Morning. Temperature finally a few degrees above zero and little wind. Feels like a heat wave. From -16 monday night to mid 40's Saturday. At least I got to burn some of the older firewood.
I thought it was feed a cold, starve a fever, but modern science tells us a lot of those old adages are wrong. So I'm going with "if you're hungry, eat something."
It's going to be back up to 80 here in a couple of days. Everyone I know is having weird sneezing fits and congestion, with no real cold/flu symptoms. I think it's our sinuses freaking out from the a/c, heat, a/c, heat loop we're in. I was hoping for a few days in the 70s, so we can open the windows.
Nice car Sherb! :)
Sooo I ran errands and had lunch with my mom today. Without me even laying down rules, she behaved, didn't pick at my car, and didn't freak out at all. I think she was having a "stroke day" the day she did all that crap. She had a stroke a few years ago, and occassionally has a day it three where she's just a bit "off". I'm glad she's back to normal, and I didn't have to be mean!
Desktop computing, High Def TVs and DVRs have really improved Parcells life over the years but perhaps the greatest invention of my life time is concealed elastic waist bands on pants!

I'm confused, you wear pants.
Well Fitzy, most people call them "Capris". I guess you could call them pants. Either way, we all knew what you meant.
XB1 acquired. Never managed any deals or reductions. Would have had to buy stuff I didn't want for that to happen. Got $100 in XBox gift cards. So probably tomorrow, I'll set it up and decide what my first game will be. Just something to whet my appetite during the two month wait for TITANFALL.
Nothing remaining for me now but the after sales crying in the other topics.
Feel better Oldschool!!! Last time I bought cold medicine for hubby I had to sign a thingy saying we weren't gonna cook up meth *eye roll*.
I may be wrong, but I think this knee brace hubby got me may be the best invention ever. I have a torn meniscus in the right knee. Had a torn ACL in the same knee years ago. Soooo my doctor is a specialist (rheumatologist) for my autoimmune stuff. Which means when I mention my knee is fucked, he examines it, diagnosis it, and tells me to do some exercises and rest it. No mention of a brace. My knee was slipping all around every time I walked, and this afternoon I felt something pop. I'm no little bitch when it comes to pain. I've had a filling with no novicaine. I can take pain like a champ. This pop in my knee made me cry. Hubby got pissed...well, more pissed than he already was..about my doctor ignoring my knee. He went and got me a brace. Holy crap it's amazing!! No more loosey goosey kneecap, no more debilitating pain, no more knee going out from under me. Thumbs down for specialists who ignore anything that isn't on their list of concerns. Thumbs up for angry husbands who know what their wives need. And whoever invented knee braces is a genius.
Is it a brace wth a hinge? I love mine when needed. Keep in mind that the brace will most likely make your knee weaker over time. Have you gone to "knee rehab"? If not, worth the appointment to see how far you can take it with exercises to build support for your beat up knee. Excercises keep my knee stable for normal everday use but I wear the heavy duty brace for the more risky activities. Home tens unit for me too!
It's the kind with a hinge. I can see how I could become dependent on it...my knee feels SO much better when I use it! Haven't gone to knee rehab. I wonder if I'd need a referral? My doctor has kinda washed his hands of my knee problems. I should check into that this week. Thanks for the info and advice!! :D

A sports medicine Orthopedic surgeon may be the answer if you can get a referal, which I would think you could because of the ACL tear and cartilage tear.
I get my rehab at the chiropractor/sports clinic. Most of it would be doing your exercises at home. Infrequent office visits once you get rolling to gauge progress then no visits unless you hurt it or need active therapy for some pain management and inflammation relief.
OldnAchy is on to something there. At best, I had my doctor perscribe a pain killer(which I wont take) when I wrecked my back. However I did see a physical therapist. A few weeks later, I was feeling real good.
Morning all. -4f on the way in today. 20mph winds with gusts up to 45mph should be good for temps below -25 with some wind chill.
-2 before wind chill, I thimk they said like 17 below, at least that's what it was when I was warming up my pipes at 6 this morning...

Sounds like a sweet ride!
Lowlander.
...uh oh...
There's an error in the thread title...it should be "Happy New Year Y'all."
I second this. Y'all.

Morning folks!
Damn OS! I hope it wasn't that same one I had. That was a bad one.

I sure hope it doesn't turn into Titanfail. Game play looks good so far.
