Well I was wrong and hubby was right. I suppose it had to happen eventually. The doc is really cool, and ridiculously knowledgable. He's a PCP, but knew a shitton about all of my autoimmune diseases. Very impressive, and yet very laid back and relaxed. Dammit.
Is the food at an award winning rib joint supposed to be cooked beyond dry by a mile? I don't understand why people pay the prices at this place to be served beyond cardboard dry meat that needs to be drowned in their terrible, crappy, run of the mill sauce. I suspect they are relying on a very old award as their claim to fame. They use to have great food and a great sauce. Not anymore and it was clear to me that the oil in the fryers hasn't been changed in a very long time. I bet they are topping off the fryers with new oil. I walked around back and was not surprised to not see a container for their used oil to be picked up.
l lived almost next door to the place for 5 years when their food was good. A McRib, some chicken nuggets, and fries for 1/4 the price of the fiasco I just ate would have been a better tasting meal. I knew I should have made my dad go to the crappy wing joint instead. I need to remind my old man what good food tastes like.
That sucks. Has the place changed ownership during the time? I've seen some places completely change food suppliers/ingredients under new ownership, and continue to collect (at least try to) on the name built under the old owners.

This. It's the kiss of death for restaurants. I can't think of one time new owners = good. Not once!
Got my caudal epidural for my back pain yesterday. Luckily I got some instant relief and should get more in 5 - 13 days. I guess it takes time for the medicine to fully saturate the nerves, etc. I was wired after the anesthesia wore off. Not such a good thing when they prefer you rest for the day. Oh well, used the wired up energy to get some stuff done, one of which was not some time in Halo 4 SP or MP(noob).
Glad you're getting some relief Pyro. Out of all the pain I get with autoimmune crap, it's the back pain that's the worst. I don't know how you can function with constant back pain!
As for me, it's 11:30 and I'm still in my pjs. I'm thinking if I'm not dressed by noon there's really no point, right? It's not like I actually answer the door if someone knocks. I jump on the floor and hide. So it's not like anyone is gonna see me...
Good news Kit, Mrs Knight has a new Physio, same kinda deal, suddenly someone who seems to know what they are doing and not at all impressed with her predecessor! That is great. Not so great today a four hour round trip and a three hour wait to not see the surgeon that made the appointment...A totally waisted day.
Doctors need to start giving us some financial credit when they no-show or cancel less than 24 hours out. They charge us for same and fair is fair. i don't care if they have an emergency. i've had emergencies and the offices still charged me for a late cancel. I did find a new Dentist for the kiddo and a couple new Drs. The one for my daughter had to hurt. We kicked one of her's to the curb for a charge when the she was actually in the ER and couldn't make her appt. Rough guess is they lost about 17 office visit charges plus any other services they could have charged for so far.
Got a good solid stretch of sleep for the first time since last thanksgiving. Shot seems to be helping.
Ah sleep is good, everything is better if you can sleep. The missed appointment was just the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, the result of an over stressed badly funded system...A pain in the butt yes, but I guess it could be worse.
Yay for new doctors and such! Sorry for the travel issues Knight. I'm really spoiled here. The majority of my medical appointments are within a few blocks of my house. My new doctor is about half an hour south, and that seemed like an ungodly long drive.
And glad to hear you got sleep finally Pyro! A good nights sleep goes a long way.
Oh joy. It's that time of year again: brother, Canadian sister in law, and their baby are coming home from Hawaii for about three weeks. Which means we are forced to go visit the whole family at least one weekend. Then the Hawaii crew is coming to our house for a couple of days. A group of the fam is going to Nova Scotia for a week and asked if I wanna go. I laughed a lot, then politely declined lol. The area they're going to has no Internet or cable tv. I'd be a homicidal maniac in about twelve hours.

The only reason Parcells isn’t going to lay it on you KIT for this sad commentary on today’s society is because you would be forced to engage in face to face communication with family members you’re not overly fond of vs. just “regular people”.
Furthermore, I was unaware of any place in Nova Scotia with no internet or cable access unless by choice so where exactly is this place it sounds lovely!
It's some small town on some island or some shit. I dunno. I don't listen when people talk about places I have no interest in visiting. My family are not the type to let you sit and read a book in peace, so going to the middle of nowhere, in Canada, with no tv or Internet...TORTURE. I'd have to buy two more iPods and spend a small fortune filling them with movies and tv shows.
That's my sister and yes she does
I give a great back massage, so if you PM me her phone number I'm sure I could help her out.
what do I get for it? and I don't want a back rub..lol
P.S. ooh! A Parcells sighting!! Shhhh...don't spook him! *waves at Parcells*

+1 Kit...that's good news
+2 Very good news.

Same owners running the place according to my dad. I'd say they got lazy and cheap at the restauraunt.

Gotta protect the neighbors. ;)
Getting out of PJ's for the day is always optional. I ignore the doorbell too. Not expecting anyone ever. I need to disconnect that stupid thing.

Lol I love you guys!
Fitzy's sister?
I wouldn't wish that on anyone Knight.
Jeez you try to help, and what do you get, misplaced honesty.
In this case honesty was the only way to go.

Honesty is overrated...you guys should lie more.
It sounds like the Atlantic...
