First, Fitzy one look at this thread in total should amply demonstrate I have no control at all over the reprobates that hang out here.
Well back from holiday and what a fine time was had, nice hotel suite in a child free hotel. Hot, clear skys on all but one day and a hire car to roam around in. Would I recommend Feureventura as a destination? Hmm...Yes and no. Touristy it is, it is a desert Island from end to end and if not for tourists I don't think anyone would live there. Aside from that if you are mobile and can get away from the tourist traps then there is miles of great views, quiet beaches and real isolation to be found. If like me you come from cold,wet and green? Well it's a real change. The south is the best as a base, less Kiss me Quick hats and Watneys Red Barrel (my American friends may not get that)
So I am back in the cold,grey and damp embrace of Ireland and planning the next gettaway...Mrs Knight has suggested a weekend of pure hedonism in Amsterdam for my birthday...Sounds good to me :)
Off to the Motor City for some turkey, family and a whole lot of Get the Hell Outta Town for a bit. Rumor has it I have a new baby niece born at midnight...
Most of Parcells customers reside in the Detroit area so I'm gonna work from home tomorrow and possibly Friday too :)

Took me a few minutes yesterday trying to get into the tub, I feel maybe if I lept into it or maybe a controlled fall since at 6'4" it's a long way down. Also getting out I was jerking up like a buffalo sized over weight grass hopper trying to climb over its knees to shimmy up to a standing position.
They're dry not wet.

I grew up in Port Huron, MI. about an hour north of Detroit.
I lived between 10 and 12 mile near Hazel Park for about 5 years, and worked out of the Pontiac Area...I do NOT miss it at all...
